Dan and Phil Tour Resource Spreadsheet (*UPDATED!*)
Hiii i'm back a week later with a major update to my spreadsheet! If you missed the original post, the phour phedules.xlsx is a spreadsheet documenting all dan and phil's tour dates, locations, and venues for each of their tours and individual shows. Previously, it included two sheets: one organized by chronological dates and the other by location.
Now, I've added a third sheet- this one documents the breakdown of the number of shows and capacity for each tour, organized by venue and geographic areas.

my sources for seating capacity were mainly venue websites and wikipedia. Obviously take all the exact numbers with a grain of salt, as venues don't always report seat numbers accurately/consistently and sometimes venues have multiple seating arrangements and rooms that make it difficult to figure out the exact number of tickets available for dnp's shows.
So take it as more of a "this is the general estimate of the number of tickets they could have offered" rather than the definitive tour capacity they had/were aiming for.
However, there are a few venues that were particularly difficult to find consistent info on, so if anyone has info or personal experience with the following venues/tour dates, please reach out:

I'm just entertaining myself for the month before I start grad school but I still hope it can be a helpful and interesting resource :)
and the thing is 2011 dan WAS funny. he certainly wasn’t always funny back then, but the foundation of what makes dan funny today was there back then. how he’d emphasize words and his expressiveness, this air of disbelief. like a big part of dan’s humor is physical as he’s speaking and that’s just who he is. and so he’s always been able to be really fucking funny and dan was right to laugh at that okapi bit. i’m so glad he can see himself and not feel judgment or embarrassment just for it being his younger self. he can enjoy his past self.
seeing dan go from just cringing and yelling at his younger self, genuinely hating to watch old footage to seeing him react with such love and softness for his little self is everything to me. seeing the softness he has for baby dan, no matter how cringe he still may find himself, is just so lovely!! i feel like so many times in the past, dan just wanted to go back and smack his old self in videos. now, he looks at himself with such a softness and love and i just adore that!
i think a lot about dan’s journey over the last like decade like outside of his relationship with phil (i mean as much as you can because his journey even just as an individual person has been heavily influenced and maybe even at times driven by his relationship with phil). but like in terms of his self image more broader than his sexuality (again as much as it can be as it’s all connected) and how he talks about his past self. how he watches him. and it just makes me so happy and proud and emotional that he seems so much more visibly comfortable with and fond of his younger self. more compassionate and kind and loving. wahhh ;__;
dnp and team reached out to me with a new concept for dnpb album. Their prompt was essentially “podcast set, but cosy”.
They sent me a couple of ideas that solidified a clear image in my mind. Their pitches were “lounging on an inflatable sofa” “including the lava lamp” “retro imac w/ album title” and most importantly, “Richard balls”
Now, if you noticed, I drew the “plastic pendant light” thingy hanging from the top, but I removed it at the final render. Simply, it didn’t mesh with the rest of the background, so I removed it.

So the elements I added to their ideas were using the pod set as flooring; they wanted to chill among clouds, so I made the lava blobs float like clouds. Now I know the rocket and lava goo look a bit phallic, but what do you expect from a dnp project?
Binary gay stars orbiting each other or whatever in the background: that's what dnp’s souls do when the world ends.
Coloring: I wanted to convey a well air conditioned room, and blue is a lazy relaxed color.
Posing: relaxed, chill, comfortable. Cute with an attitude.

well that's actually been up for debate and we actually took it to a vote (x) last year to see if december 2015's "i love my knitted clothing and i love these guys as well" counted and it was passed. but before that it was may 2013 in the golden headphones liveshow where he said "love you guys and stuff"
