Soul Splitting is quite a convoluted concept in my Hellaverse, There are many ways of soul splitting but the best as I can describe is that, Once your soul is split, it is split forever, you're strictly a different person who have been just born from a person's soul, that doesn't mean you are that person your soul was split from
Soul Splitting only happens once, it mostly happens when a soul splits some things they reject as part of themselves, those rejected parts are formed as a newly formed different soul, a new person taking life, it's either human or a different species entirely, an animal, an angel, or even a demon, either way, it was made strictly clear you are a completely new and different soul from the soul that rejected parts of themselves. How Soul Splitting Works, now THAT'S the mystery. It's either by a weapon, or a heat of a breakdown, or even done by spell, who knows... Soul Splitting is considered ban from use unless it's necessary or in use in by The Highest Authority in Heaven
