Hopefully you'll find some cool shit here, as well as find new blogs to follow. Enjoy your stay.
Lilith hate almost always comes down to "I know we barely know her, I just get a bad vibe from her, so I already blindly hate her" and that's one thing, but... 99% of the time it comes from people who are fans of a character we already KNOW is a bad person right NOW (you know exactly what characters I'm talking about).
So, how much do these people actually care about characters being "bad people" and instead are just looking for any excuse to hate Lilith, because the literal only difference is that we barely know her, which is literally the point for now, and that she's a woman.
My problem with the Lilith hate isn't as much about Lilith "having done bad things" (because at this point in the story we don't have enough answers yet to fairly judge that), my problem is much more about the people who use arguments like that love male characters who've done SO much worse with already confirmed canon proof.
And honestly, even if Lilith ends up being an "evil irredeemable woman" who doesn't actually care about Lucifer and Charlie, even then I'm sure I'll enjoy her more than most of the Lilith haters' fan faves.
This reminds me that I've seen one such hater hating Lilith's guts for that one flashback scene where she's separating Charlie from Lucifer, apparently she's a cold hearted bitch for not noticing how sad Charlie and Lu were at getting split up, and totally not getting when I told them that Lilith was most obviously just going to tuck Charlie to bed, and that Lucifer has fucking functional legs he can use to go help her tuck Charlie in if he fucking wants to and he doesn't for whatever reason, but Lilith is the worst for it apparently? Their mentality about was straight up 2 years old toddlers thinking process, someone making people sad makes them a bad person I guess or something. Like for real, I was pratically laughing at their less than convincing excuse to hate Lilith.
And they topped themselves off by saying Vox and Alastor were less worse than Lilith for it because at least they were entertaining. Like, what? As an eternal Vox fan even I felt that was a way too much stupid excuse to even bother justifying their hatred of Lilith, I outright showed the post to my friend who legit laughed when reading their post because of how stupid the hate about Lilith was.
Lady hasn't even had a single line yet apparently is worse than Vox and Alastor as an irredeemable bitch or something.
before my egg cracked, i had noticed that trans people were often pro-accessibility and up-to-date on the needs of disabled people, but i hadn’t seen any inherent connection between the two (other than the obvious minority-looking-out-for-other-minority thing). but now that i’m trans and medically transitioning, and i have to constantly repeat myself while talking to doctors and nurses, and explain things about my own anatomy to medical staff who should already know this, and having every single problem i might have blamed on my “condition” so nothing i say is taken seriously, all of the sudden i have a little sneak peak into the life of someone who has to deal with this all the time. like shit bro, being disabled probably sucks ass, someone should do something about this
I’ll never understand why anthropomorphic animal cartoons like Robin Hood and Zootopia will go to the trouble of creating character designs that are meant to be understood as “attractive” or even “sexy” to the human audience but explicitly avoid showing interspecies romances between anthropomorphic animals. Why is THAT weird but, like, trying to make rabbits recognizably sexy-coded to humans isn’t?
Sometimes, sure, but why was Maid Marian a fox in Robin Hood? There wasn’t anything particularly “foxlike” about her personality, and it would make more sense for her to be a lion. They made her a fox only because Robin was a fox and making her something else would be “weird”, but I don’t think the wolf cop or the chicken maid or the lion prince were actually meant to represent race.
The best inter species couple is Kermit and Miss Piggy as the Cratchits in A Muppet Christmas Carol, because all their sons are frogs and all their daughters are pigs, as God clearly intended.
In which Captain Amelia (left), an extra terrestrial anthropomorphic cat, had hybrid babies with Doctor Doppler (middle), an extra terrestrial anthropomorphic dog, whom also gave birth to the babies
I always thought that in muppet movies like muppet Christmas Carol the characters are played by the muppets (so kermit is acting and playing the role of Bob rather than being him) so the kids in that film would just be other acting muppets right?
Charlie persuading the hotel group to behave a certain way, not because she believes it’s a more moral way to behave, but because she thinks it’s what will appease Heaven / get them redeemed
vs
Vox persuading the Vees to behave a certain way, not because he believes it’s a more moral way to behave, but because he thinks it’s what will appease the public / keep their ratings up
