But honestly I truly believe that  Jessica Jones is one of the most beloved heroes of the  Marvel Universe. Not in the superstar way the Avengers are but more like a  in a cult like grumpy cat kind of way. Just imagine all the memes, all the top ten lists, all the stories. People be like posting glorious pictures of the Avengers and photoshopping Jessica stuffing her face with a hot dog. Going on about heroic stories about how Spider Man or Daredevil saving them in  an inspiring way and then someone adding how they saw Jessica Jones chasing a pigeon that shit on her jacket for three blocks And the police? They love her. Oh they hate her as well but they also love her in the way they love no other hero. Because every time Spiderman or Daredevil or Luke Cage just beats the hell out of some criminals and dumps them on their doorstep they need to go to huge lengths to get any charges to stick and half of the time any criminal with a half decent lawyer gets away. And don’t get them started on the Avengers. But Jessica? She actually makes a statement, half of the time she provides surveillance photos, bank and telephone records and so much other lovely evidence. And she actually has a legal P.I license so it’s all admissible. And she is great in court as a witness because New Yorkers love the kind of fuck you attitude when directed at criminals

Yes PLEASE do this. I’m hard of hearing and when someone says “nevermind” it always feels like they’re actually saying “ugh your hearing loss is such a pain in the ass, it’s not worth the damn effort” even if that isnt the truth. I don’t care how dumb it is, the clarification makes me feel so much better.

Important to note:

Even if you’re not registered to vote, you can still show up on election day (or at an an advanced poll) and register to vote right there and then.  And then go vote.

You’ll have to fill out one or two forms at your polling location (the poll workers will help), and of course have the necessary ID to prove that you are eligible to vote (the list of options is pretty extensive so I won’t go over it in detail, but generally you need at least two pieces of ID with at least one of those pieces showing your address - this can even include things like utility bills, government mail, or a lease), but you can still vote.

In my experience (I’ve done this in most of the elections I’ve voted in for as long as I’ve been of legal voting age) this adds less than five minutes to the process at the polling location (and maybe one or two extra minutes at home beforehand making sure you have all the ID/paperwork you’ll need).

So please. PLEASE.  Vote.

Let me share with you guys a product that super helps me remember if I took my meds or not (because while the above is great, I still would manage to confuse myself):

They count as soon as you put the top back on. So if I don’t know if I’ve taken my medication for the day, I can check the cap to see how long ago I opened the container! It’s brilliant!
