Welcome to the blog for my fanfics about the batfamly, justice league and arrowverse. I use a different mix of canons and headcanons for my fanfics. I get not everyone will like the changes, but just be nice and not a purist. I'm just writing these stories for fun. My posted ao3 fics and fave script fics are in the masterlist pinned on here. Constructive feedback is always welcome, but rude comments will lead to an automatic block. AO3: Rose_Twilight I post my script fics on here and the chapter styled ones on ao3. I post my mini script fics here and ao3 has my novel fics.
This is the masterlist of ongoing and one-shot batfamily flash fics and Epic the musical flash fics. Each character/fandom title link will go lead you to more stories.
I write batman and fam fanfiction on here and AO3, this is that masterlist of some of my fanfics. Updated regularly. You can find all my fics here and search for them, currently organizing the blog.

Jason's days in the League of Assassins and part time baby sitter
Damian sat in the Wayne kitchen, icing his swollen eye and holding a tissue up his nose to stop the bleeding. He had won a fight at school against a new bully who assumed he was the right one to mess with. Talia had been alerted, and while visiting Gotham, she dropped by to comfort her son.
Talia (rubbing her son's cheek): Habibi, are you all right?
Damian: I'll be fine— I don't need you to give me cheek rubs!
Talia: Nonsense. This is a calming technique I learned from a parenting class.
Damian (refusing to agree): You may continue.
Talia: You have blood on your nice shirt. That bully—
Damian: That's his blood.
Talia (surprised): Really?
Damian: I punched him in the nose, and in the melee, his blood stained my shirt.
Talia: Damn, my baby boy's a scraper! I'm proud you drew the first blood. That is what happened, right?
Damian: Yeah, he tried to, but I was able to dodge his punches after he shoved me.
Before Talia could praise this, Bruce spoke up.
Bruce: Talia, if you're going to be here, don't condone what he did.
Talia: Oh, of course. I don’t want to offend the pacifist in the room.
Talia gave her ex-husband a knowing glance.
Bruce: Mine is not the same situation. He shouldn't be getting into fights at a private school.
Damian: But Baba, he started it!
Bruce: Calling me Baba won’t change my mind… this time.
Damian: …Mama, I am the victim!
Talia (hugging her son): I know, habibi.
Bruce: Talia!
Talia: Hey, he’s the victim. It was confirmed that the pig antagonized my son! I can already see it now, little Dami was with his friends—
Tim: Damian has friends?
Damian: Piss off!
Talia: As I was saying, he was with his real friends, enjoying library time, reading silently, when that American dog teased and taunted him for no reason. Damian, you defended yourself.
Bruce: He hit him with his lunchbox!
Alfred (while enjoying tea): To be fair, that was after the child shoved him numerous times.
Bruce: You're not helping.
Alfred: I'm not helping you.
Tim: I’m kind of on Talia’s side. The kid fucked around and found out.
Jason: And you're acting like the brat died. at most he had a bruised ego.
Bruce: In the fight, Damian knocked out the kid’s front teeth. Which is impressive, but not something he should do.
Jason: Yeah, if anything, he should grab a chair and slam it against his head like you did to that goon in ’97.
Bruce: Let’s put aside my night job for a second.
At that moment, Ra’s entered the kitchen, having waited in the car for twenty minutes.
Ra’s: Being a furry is a night job?
Bruce: Why is he here?
Ra’s: I got tired of waiting in the car. What’s going on in here?
Talia: Damian got into a fight.
Ra’s: Oh… he won?
Talia (nodding): Father, that is not what we’re focusing on.
Ra’s: You got blood on your nice shirt.
Damian: That’s the other boy’s blood. I punched him in the nose after he spat on me.
Tim: He spit on you?! Oh, that’s fucking around part.
Damian: And that’s when I grabbed my friend Mitchy’s tiny tumbler cup and bashed it against his nose. After that, I needed something else to throw, which led to grabbing my lunchbox.
Ra’s: You drew the first blood?
Damian nodded, icing his black eye.
Ra’s: That’s what I’m talking about! My grandson is a scrapper!
Bruce: What is wrong with you?
Ra’s: A lot. What’s your excuse?
Jason: Bruce, he’s got you there.
Bruce: Shut it. Damian, you can’t solve your problems with violence. Everyone else, shut the hell up!
The others fell silent, though they couldn’t resist pointing out Bruce’s hypocrisy for the tenth time. Tim received a ping on his phone and, when checking the message, smiled.
Tim: I texted Dick and Barbara about the incident. They both agree Damian shouldn’t have hit the kid, but since the American dog — as Talia called him — started the fight, Damian was defending himself and they think he had no other choice, but to fight back. See? FAFO. It’s a law.
Bruce: It’s not a law!
Tim: Dick said that while he’s on vacation with Kori, he can sense Dad’s hypocrisy.
Bruce: Well, tell him to shut the hell up, or I’ll cut that trip short!
Tim (texting back): Maybe this time he’ll take you seriously.
Damian: I’m glad most of you are on my side. Does this mean I’m not grounded?
Bruce: You are—
Talia: Yes! You won’t be punished this time. I think the ridiculous week-long suspension is enough.
Jason: Yeah, you know how schools are with their zero-tolerance policies bull.
Duke (entering the kitchen): Hello, everyone— how did Satan’s buddy cross the salt circle?
Ra’s: Silence! I will shoot you in the kneecaps! I am not in the mood today. As you can see, I’m congratulating my grandson for winning a fight at school.
Bruce: This wasn’t a planned boxing match. He got into a fight, and whether that bully was the instigator, he’s my son, and I—
Duke: You took my advice and waited for him to shove you first?
Damian nodded. Bruce threw his arms up giving up on talking over everyone.
Duke: Good job. Who drew blood first?
Talia: Damian. He hit the brat with a metal tumbler.
Talia patted her son on the head with a proud mama smile.
Duke: Damn, Damian, that’s what I’m talking about!
Bruce: Okay, forget it! Damian, you’re not grounded, just go to your room, and you’ll stay there for the week of suspension.
Damian: But I want to fight criminals!
Talia: In defense of my beloved, you have a few injuries that need to heal before you go back out as Robin. You deserve a proper rest as well.
Alfred (handing Damian a juice box and cookie): Here’s a snack.
Damian: Yay! Juice and cookies? This is the best outcome for me.
Ra’s (handing Damian twenty dollars): Here.
Damian: And money!
Ra’s: That’s comfort cash. Because I am a decent person, Duke Thomas!
Duke: Mm, Lucifer had his good moments.
Damian: Take it as a compliment, grandfather.
Ra’s: For you, I will. Do you want me to find the kid and his parents and punish them further?
Bruce: Okay, ignoring me. Fantastic.
Damian: No, father, and I agree on this. They’ve suffered enough, and as you taught me, my happiness and success come from their further suffering.
Ra’s sniffled, fake coughing, happy his grandson remembered that advice. He patted Damian on the shoulder. Talia chuckled, seeing her father’s usual resolve weaken just a little.
Batman: Robin? Robin? Where did he sneak off to? Knowing kids and the fact we're near that newly opened candy shop.
Meanwhile, outside a newly opened candy store, Robin (Damian) stood looking through the window, watching kids happily pack bags with pounds of candy.
Robin rubbed his stomach, eyeing all the confections.
Robin: Mm… I am feeling a little lightheaded. Candy has sugar, and sugar provides energy. Which means I clearly require candy. A couple bags worth. Father!
Batman (appearing behind Robin): So this is why you walked off.
Robin turned around, surprised to see his father had found him.
Robin: I was well hidden. How did you spot me?
Batman: I’ve raised three Robins before you. I learned your habits.
Robin: Good point. Can I have some money to buy a big bag of candy to refuel my body?
Batman: I should say no, but I want to buy a sweet treat too. Ten minutes.
Robin: Yes! Thank you, father! I’ll gloat to the others that you and I had this fun side quest together.
Batman smiled softly, letting his son believe this was a rare special moment he’d done just for him. The eager child raced into the candy shop, ready to indulge himself, and possibly cause a cavity.
It Matt Fractions Batman has no haters im dead i don't care if I haven't read it this mischarecteristions would kill me
"People never change. Not really." OH JAIL. JAIL FOR 10000 YEARS. NOT ONCE IN BATMANS EVER LIFE HAS HE THOUGHT THAT. HIS WHOLE POINT WITH HARVEY IS HE BELIEVES HE CAN CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. DAMIANS CHARECTER IS LITERALLY CHANGING FOR THE BETTER DESPITE HOW HE WAS RAISED???
Unless the context of this is "People who are good people never really can become fully bad people because being good is at their core" I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT?
"It became my job to dismantle that bomb and learn to make him stronger" NO. THE WHOLE POINT OF DAMIAN N YOU WAS WHILE YOU HAD TO TRAIN ALL THE OTHER ROBINS TO BE STRONGER TO UPHOLD THEIR MORALS AND INACT THEM, DAMIAN WAS ALREADY STRONG BUT YOU NEEDED TO TEACH HIM THE MORALS AND HOW TO USE THAT STRENGTH FOR GOOD AND HE WAS MADE YOUR SON SO YOU COULDNT AVOID THAT (obviously theirs other ways to take their relationships start but that's undeniably part of it)
Also this is more personal preference but I think Tim retiring/taking a break and Damians charecter development reverting just.
No.
Please.
Stop.
Just stop Matt. Matt.
I'm tired. I'm tired.
Just. Dont even get me started on this. Even if he ment it as a joke it didn't come across as one. Not the scared thing the girls thing. Just stop Matt.
This im half and half on. Like, yeah, Bruce isn't gonna be a perfect parent, and he can be mad, Damian. I'm fine with Bruce being written as "parent who's trying but isn't that great". The "Smarten up before you get someone killed" actually doesn't bother me at all its the 3rd panel actually "...Science has yet to concieve of a device so sophisticated as to calculated the massive sum calculate the massive of things you. Don't. Know."
Why are we being so condensing??- There was literally no need for that line the 2nd panels line was completely enough. Maybe it was to stop damian from believing he's better than Bruce bur it just felt weird to me and way to just- rude?
But I can get past that one. Bruce was mad cause Damian made a mistake, not that big of a deal.
THE REST OF IT. PACK IT UP MATT, PLEASE. I kinda felt like this since I heard him talk about what he thought of the batfamily before the run, but I just can't do this man.
thinking about how as of modern day comics dick's parents falling to their deaths would have been recorded by a million phones and posted on every social medias he would never be able to escape it it's entirely watchable for the entire world all the time and his memories of actually being there and seeing it getting mix-mashed with these recordings that a few hundred people in the audience put online with captions about how it is the worst thing they've ever seen and how traumatized they are etc etc
Yes but with how people record stuff it would be grainy and the viewer would only see the first part where they fall and the camera gets incredibly shaky.
Dick is then forever annoyed that the footage was that bad. Lol
Years later when Nightwing accidentally confessed this to Jason
Red Hood (horrified, jaw dropped): ...
Nightwing: And then I cried... For like three hours.
Red Hood: What the fuck dude!
Nightwing: Yeah I know... I'm a cry baby.
Nightwing laughed to hide the pain.
Red Hood: That is not what I'm reacting to! My death has that much trauma for you? I'm not hugging you, but I will give you a sympathetic shoulder pat. Jesus dude, you need it.
Nightwing: Thanks. Why don't you give this to Bruce?
Red Hood: He and I both agree that the only way to fix that trauma is by him continually lending me money and I never pay him back.
Just some quick background practice, posting before I have to log off for around 2 weeks?? If you see me post? I am alive. If you don't see me post? I am also alive, just signal and internet connection are not being kind to me
Dick: TVs are getting thinner everyday. When I was a kid, those TVs had more back then Bruce currently. He got a lot of back too.
Bruce (eating ice cream): I usually can be indifferent to what you say about me, but words hurt.
Damian: Your back is rather large father.
Bruce: It. Is. Muscle.
Duke: Nah, you like Dick with his big booty, except a big booty is a compliment. Big back means that when he faints and lands on someone, they'll be more squished then a pancake.
Dick: The tectonic plates shift slightly when a big back falls.
Jason: If Bruce jumps-
Bruce: You have the exact same body type as me.
Jason: ... I'm slender compared to you. You're like Penguin if he was six-seven.
Damian: I must... SIX SEVEN!
Duke (patting Damian's head): Can't be mad at that. Now back to Bruce's largeness.
Oliver: I hope your son slips on a banana peel on a wet floor and slips a disk! I pray to God that you feel that pain!
Bruce: DON'T YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON ME, OLIVER! DON'T YOU PUT THAT ON US! TAKE YOUR LOSS!
Oliver: I hope when you're in the middle of sex with your girlfriend, she says she has a headache right when you're about to finish!
Bruce: Oh you want to die.
Oliver slapped Bruce. A loud slap that caused Bruce to tackle him to the ground, and the grown men started fighting. Tim stood by, entering the room late. He let out a weary sigh.
Tim: What are they arguing about this time?
Dick: I called dibs on the last brownie.
Roy: I got low blood sugar! I wanted that brownie! I can't get nothing good in life!
Roy dramatically cried, covering his face. Dick continued eating his brownie unfazed.
Dick: Hey, we played rock, papers, scissors as well. He threw scissors, I put down rock.
Tim: He's got a point. Roy, you're not actually that upset are you?
Roy (pausing his acting performance): Not really. But I'm bored and overreacting to defend my dad is fun.
Tim: That's also a good point... I have fifty on Oliver.
Bruce (in a headlock): Don't bet against me!
Roy: I'm gonna get you back, Dick. When there's one cookie left, I'll be there first. When there's a last slice of pizza, I'll be there first. And when the last slice of cake is served—
