Daniel Radcliffe discussing how he has racist friends but wonât end a friendship over their racist beliefs is exactly why we have a hard time trusting white âalliesâ and why weâre sick and tired of hearing white âalliesâ talk about how THEY arenât racist.
Radcliffeâs exact quote is: âAnd Iâm still friends with them because I donât think that friendship should be drawn along those lines.â
And like⊠This is exactly what we mean when we talk about how being an ally means you have to actively help dismantle racism, especially within your communities and with other white people. If youâve ever said âBut IâM not racist so what do you want me to do??????â then this shit right here is what the fuck youâre supposed to do.
Pretending like your white friends holding racist beliefs is just some minor thing you disagree with like what toppings go best on pizza or if Coke is better than Pepsi is, to be quite honest, fucking disgusting.
And if you think that severing a friendship over racism is going too far then you perhaps need to re-evaluate how much of an ally you actually are.
Itâs a huge goddamn privilege for racism to just be a minor inconvenience to a friendship and I can guarantee that your friends of color are wondering how you can be an ally when you sit there and allow your other friends to actively dehumanize them
@notallmeninists thank you, lots of love to you. <3

âUp to a thousand refugees are feared to have drowned in recent days while trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea. The United Nations say this marks one of the highest weekly death tolls since the migrant crisis began in 2014. UNICEF says many of the victims were youth fleeing war and violence in their home countries.Â
The majority of the refugees were from Eritrea, Nigeria, Somalia and South Sudan.â

Her salvation lies in the hands of her new friends, a group of giggling little girls she meets at an abandoned âcursed house.â Except their friendship comes with a terrible price. What would you do if the price of your everyday prescription rose 5,500%? Thatâs exactly what happened to Daraprim (pyrimethamine), a drug originally developed over 60 years ago, that helps immunocompromised HIV and cancer patients. After Martin Shkreli, a former hedge fund manager, acquired the drug for his company, Turing Pharmaceuticals, he raised the price by 55 times overnight. Shockingly, this type of gouging is fairly common.

If literal children and teens come to you for help because they are afraid of having sex and you tell them theyâll âcome aroundâ or that theyâre âtransphobicâ, then youâre a rape apologist. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

You wouldnât call women âthe bitch communityâ why the fuck do u think itâs ok to call LGBT people âthe queer communityâ. Just because some individuals have âââreclaimedââââ it does not make it ok to use it as an umbrella term and force it on others against their will
the amount of non-intersex people who horribly disrespect our wishes pulling us into the LGBT community - simply for BEING intersex- despite the fact that we made our own community, for our own struggles since they are very different from LGBT people, is astonishing.Â
also considering, there can be - and in fact are - cishet intersex people? and ya know, cishets donât belong in the LGBT community?Â
if you claim that there is in I in LGBT and that it stands for Intersex, you hate intersex people and our wishes to be separate from the LGBT community.Â
*BREAKING STORY*
London â Furious at the impending erasure of womenâs rights resulting from the 2015 Parliamentary Women and Equalities Committee Report headed by the Conservative Partyâs Maria Miller, women representing a coalition of feminist, progressive, and lesbian organizations picketed todayâs Westminster Social Policy Forum on Transgender Rights.
Protesters expressed outrage at the Committeeâs recommendation to remove sex-based protections for women and girls by erasing the protected category of âsexâ and replacing it with an undefined category of âgender identityâ. The proposed change would eliminate the ability of women to seek redress under law for sex discrimination and sex inequality. Such violations would no longer be recognized by the state as the category of âsexâ itself would no longer exist.
If the Equality Committeeâs recommendations go forth as planned, the elimination of legal sex as a protected class will be replaced by an individualâs declaration of their subjective and internal gender-based âfeelingsâ. This would give men who proclaim such gender feelings the legal right to expose themselves in womenâs locker rooms and other single-sex facilities where public nudity occurs and where women are particularly vulnerable. Convicted male prisoners who proclaim gender feelings will be housed in cells with confined female prisoners who will have no legal grounds to object. Men will have the right to compete in womenâs sports, apply for womenâs scholarships, and the right to serve as female proxies by occupying affirmative action slots which formerly served to address sex inequality in womenâs representation in public life. Single-sex rape crisis services, womenâs refuges, lesbian public events, will become illegal on the grounds they discriminate against the gender feelings of men.
From a flyer distributed at the protest:
Womenâs voices are being ignored and our rights eroded in the name of âtransgender equalityâ. Current policy recommendations regarding transgender rights have a potentially adverse effect on women in a number of ways:
The pressure on parents to accept a trans diagnosis for a gender non-conforming child, based on gender stereotypes of clothing and toy preferences; or in the case of teenagers, to give in to the social media contagion to which they might be susceptible.
The threat to current sex-based rights, which keep males and females segregated in public places where women and girls might be physically vulnerable. These include toilets, changing rooms, rape crisis centres, refuges, hospital wards and prisons.
The inclusion of male-bodied, male-socialised people, into areas of success and achievement where women currently have their own space in order to make competition fair or to level the playing field. These include sports, prizes and awards, shortlists and quotas.
The negative affect on the lesbian community of the pressure on young women to identify as trans rather than as lesbian. There is also pressure to accept male-bodied self-identified âlesbiansâ as sexual partners.
The skewing of national statistics regarding crime, due to the higher rate of offending by male transitioners as opposed to women, with possible knock-on effects on funding for womenâs services.
The effect on the âtrans widowsâ of men (and it mostly is men) who transition in middle age. There is nowhere for these women to turn: all the help and support is directed towards the âtransâ person.
The changing of language pertinent to women and girls in order to make it more trans-inclusive, thereby making âwomenâs issuesâ impossible to talk about. This includes the use of such terms as âpregnant peopleâ by health providers.
No womenâs groups were invited to testify at the 2015 Womenâs and Equalities Committee hearings on the largest proposed rollback to the legal status of women since the birth of the Suffrage Movement.
The Independent covered the growing outrage in January of this year, reporting on Committee Chair MP Maria Miller: âThe former Culture secretary said she was taken aback by the âextraordinaryâ hostility from a minority of women âpurporting to be feministsâ.
âThe only negative reaction that Iâve seen has been by individuals purporting to be feminists,â Miller went on to say.
Fellow committee member, Labour MP Jess Phillips, was quoted as saying: âSome feminists prioritise gender equality above all else, but I think we should also do our bit to promote general equality.â
Todayâs public forum at Congress Centre in London was organized by the same individuals behind the proposal to erase legal sex-based protections for women and girls. From the event page:

A River Called Titas (Ritwik Ghatak, 1973)
pretty sure even atheists are taught that men kissing other men is gross and wrong! pretty sure that's a problem with society, not individual religious belief! I was raised completely without religion and I thought being gay was wrong until i discovered i was gay and i still suffer from massive internalized homophobia! admit that you just hate muslims.
Look, you gotta learn to separate the doctrine from the people. I was raised Catholic and I will tell you without mincing words that Christianity is a hateful, cruel doctrine that is ingrained with misogyny and homophobia. The holy book itself teaches hate and outright says that slavery is right, women are inferior and homosexuality is deserving of death. Does that mean all Christians are hateful people? Of course not. But it doesnât change the fact that Christianity is a hateful doctrine.
The same is true for Islamism. You canât excuse a doctrine while there are preachers calling for the death of anyone who does not fit the mold and governments endorsing it. Tumblr will gladly criticize Christianity but will shy away from criticizing Islamism even though they come from the same root. But speaking the truth about a hateful doctrine doesnât mean condemning the people who are raised under it. This is the difference between us and conservatives.
Also, I am a lesbian. Iâm latin-american. I am partnered with an US born woman and right now none of us feel safe visiting her homeland even to visit, because we feel like it wouldnât be safe. We live in a country thatâs literally going through a coup d'etat right now and we feel safer here. If thereâs one religion that must be examined itâs the US doctrine of military and gun worship. Letâs not forget that this terrorist was an American man. This is also religious indoctrination.
And we gay people owe nothing to any doctrine or religion that calls for our death. We owe nothing.
All kink blogs and bdsm blogs need to stay the fuck away from teenagers on this site.
Are you saying that youâre lying about your age? Because her page says youâre a legal adult. If youâre lying about your age, then do yourself a favor and STAY OT OF ADULT SPACES.
Iâve literally just said for you and your fucked up kink friends to stay away from me? Go fuck off somewhere else away from me. Iâm still a teenager, Iâm 18. I donât want to see this. I was sexually abused when I was younger. I donât want to fucking see this. Leave me the fuck alone. Fuck off, fuck of fuck off. FUCCKKK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly stop bothering @butchmarceline pls. Getting off on abusing women is wrong and a problem and so is telling a girl off for not "staying out of adult spaces" when y'all are reblogging from her.
