Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action is their first release in about 4 years, and I’m not gonna complain. It’s Franz Ferdinand. No one knew what happened to them for a while, and that was awkward because people started to think you were really uneducated about the triggers of WWI. Souji moved inside quickly, kicking off his shoes in the entry way before moving to the coffee table, setting down the food and immediately pulling off his gloves to rub his hands together. “I know it’s cold out there! But it’s your birthday and I wanted to celebrate it with you.” He smiled and glanced toward the food. “I didn’t know what kind of cake you liked, so I just went with strawberry shortcake, but I made it myself. Would you like me to make some tea?” He unfurled his scarf from around his neck. “And I don’t think Uncle would get too mad if I got a cold. He’s the one who’s always telling me I’m too responsible for my age.”

"Strawberry..? That sounds good, actually. I mean, you still didn't have to do anything for me, but thanks. I guess I... Don't mind the company." Adachi followed his guest inside and stood beside the table, watching him gratefully acclimate to the indoor climate. Adachi sighed.

"No, it's my house -- I'll make the tea, this once. Man, I can't believe I'm twenty-eight... Do I really need to get any older?" The detective fiddled with the front of his shirt as he turned on his heel and walked toward the kitchen, put on the water for tea before taking down a pair of plates from a cupboard and utensils from a drawer. He left the kettle of water on the stove and brought the plates, forks and knife back to Souji.

"The water should be boiling in five minutes if the stove's working right, but sometimes it doesn't," he shrugged, and bent down to arrange what he'd brought from the kitchen on the coffee table.

"What kind do you want?"
