It’s that time again for the Misthoppers Secret Strahd exchange, The Misty Tides!
I had such fun drawing the ladies as sirens! Thank you soo much for the wonderful prompts :3
So some context of what the inspiration was.
Ludmilla is based on Witcher sirens. I have a soft spot for the Witcher monsters and really wanted to incorporate some of the siren looks for there, mainly of course the wings.
Anastrasya is a lionfish. The bright colours with poison felt like appropriate choice for her. Since she is the one who uses her charm the most, I like the idea of her luring you in but the moment you touch her it is too late.
And of course last but not least,
Volenta. As she is the most ferocious of the trio, an eel was my choice for her. I also wanted for her face to echo the shape of her skull mask.

i know folks are gonna call me a pedo for this one, but i grew up seeing my mom and grandma naked. they had health issues and at times needed care and help showering. and i truly think more kids need to be shown the nonsexual reality of naked women at a young age. there is nothing sexual about my grandmothers breasts, they were simply body parts. more women die of heart attacks because people are too afraid of breasts to do real chest compressions, because they are scared to touch their breasts. the sexualization of our bodies literally kills us. i need people to be more normal about naked bodies and i'm 100% serious.
every time I see a take like this im just bewildered at how other people live. I’m 25 and I live with my mom. She walks around the house naked sometimes. I walk around the house naked sometimes. My dad did as well when I was younger and we were still living with him.
Neither of them ever had medical conditions that would “explain” the nudity.
It has always been like this and never in my life have I even considered that it might not be normal.
Idk I think this is how we get so much stigma around naked bodies and sexuality — if you’ve never interacted normally with a nude body and keep getting brainwashed that it’s supposed to be something to be hidden and a taboo not to be perceived, how can you have a healthy perspective on it?

MÁM PROBLÉM.
Za necelý měsíc se koná akce Trocnov, jedna z největších bitev a festivalů středověku u nás. Chtějí to tam mít fakt ťip ťop, takže kostýmy MUSÍ být co nejvíc historicky přesné to jde.
V pondělí se schází náš historický spolek, abychom udělali velký fit check a zhodnotili si naše vybavení podle přesnosti.
Problém?
NEMÁM DOŠITÝ ŠATY.
Respektive — ty šaty neexistují. Nezačala jsem. Mám 4 metry krásný 100% vlny a paniku v srdci.

Zítra jdu od 7:00 do práce a pak mi na to navazuje noční. (Neptejte se, mám flexibilní pracovní dobu takže makám furt.) Nemám ani minutu času nazbyt.
Tenhle týden jsem navíc makala skoro každý den, takže jsem absolutně mrtvá.
Normální člověk by si řekl, že si půjčí šaty z eráru, ale co na to říkám já?

Abych popsala, s čím pracuju:
Snažím se udělat si šaty podle střihu z nálezů z 15. století na Islandu. Všem moc doporučuji tuto knížku, ze které i beru střih.
Nejenom že je tam povídání o šicích technikách a nálezech, jsou tam i střihy na milimetrovém papíře!
(Pokud byste ji někdo chtěl, můžu ji poslat do DMs.)
Jmenovitě se snažím o tenhle střih:
Jakožto zodpovědná švadlenka jsem si je už udělala před několika týdny na shit bavlně 100 Kč/m a docela sedí!

b. došla shit bavlna)
Kamarádka kamarádky pracuje v tiskárně, takže byla tak laskavá a vytiskla mi celý střih na obrovské kusy papíru, které jsem jen vystřihla.

Na konci dne to vždycky byla a vždycky bude jen já a moje Singerovka proti celýmu světu.
Ráda bych poflexila barvou nitě — samozřejmě 100% bavlna od firmy Güttermann z mé nejoblíbenější galanterie, dvoupatrové Látky Mraz na Sázavské.
Když jsem ji kupovala, nebrala jsem si s sebou vzorek svojí látky, šla jsem na čirý vajbs a ten match????

16:00 UPDATE
POV mé poslední hodiny vypadal na střídačku cca takhle:
Špendleníčko, šitíčko, špendleníčko, šitíčko.
Nicméně. Dneska asi končíme. Mamka totiž jede za tetou a její rodinou a já jsem její designated driver protože si chce dát vínečko.
CO JSME ALE STIHLI?
Přišila jsem dva boční přední panely — nezdá se to jako moc, ale reálně jsme tímhle určitě alespoň za první třetinou co se šití týče.
Takhle vypadal proces, docela rough, ale skončila jsem na krásném tomto:
Nerovnosti sukně si nevšímejte, stejně je na mě příliš dlouhá takže ji ještě budu zastřihávat aby všechno bylo tak jak má. :3
Pokusím se ještě něco přišít večer, až se vrátíme, ale prozatím odkládám a jdu řídit.
