Roleplay with matriachiism

 purple light flitted out of the case and in front of Rose’s face before it circled around the wind up key that was laying in the case beside the doll. It was as though it was saying it wanted rose to wind the small girl. From the key it then hovered above a small hole in the back of the girl showing what it wanted.

It was unable to speak so this was all it could do for its master.

“Um…. Odd human things…” Rose muttered to herself. She thought of calling Pearl to her side, but she knew how Pearl felt about humans’ and its culture. So she had to figure this out for herself, if she asked Garnet it wouldn’t be half as fun. 

She took her large hands and gently picked up the key, looking at it curiously. Before softly grasping the doll and picking it up, she turned it over and saw the key hole. She inserted the key and gave it a few twists, waiting to see what the dolls next surprise would be.

As the moon rose in the sky the doll began to float out of roses hands. A whirl of black feathers seemed to come from nowhere as the doll opened it’s eyes. A pinkish Violet hue with inhuman, slit like pupils. “Mei Mei… What sort of Medium did you find me now?” she spoke to the purple light before addressing Rose

“I am Suiguintou, the first Rozen Maiden doll…  Will you kiss the Rose ring?” she introduced herself, holding out her tiny hand. On the ring finger was a golden rose ring with silver vines wrapping around to hold it in place. An Interesting ring to say the least.

Rose was confused to say the least. Most of her history with humans hadn’t included anything to magical, and this was to say something that Rose would clarify under the title of magical. 

“Um… Why?” Rose asked the young girl.

“I need a Medium. Someone to provide me with energy so I can become Alice. Have you ever wanted something so badly that you would do anything for it? That is what becoming Alice means to me.” she replied

“For centuries I’ve fought to become Alice and see the person I care for most in the world. Can you imagine the pain of being apart from the person you care for most indefinitely?”

“Ha. Well, it seems that these human quirks are more interesting that I thought…” Rose muttered to herself while the silver haired girl was talking. She was mesmerized by this small figure, by how she held herself and talked of things must wiser than Rose had thought the girl would know.

“…Does it matter if my energy isn’t like human energy? I’m a Gem using a form of light to project myself with the added levels of my mass to support my form.

I’m curious to know if this will effect you becoming the Alice.” Rose said curiously.

“In the end, all energy is the same. If I wanted to I could have a dog for a Medium, but thats not enough energy. If you have enough energy to produce a hard light body then you have more than a human, and that will give me an edge up in the Alice game.” she replied, floating to eye level.

“With you as a Medium, my victory is gaurenteed. once and for all I will be able to prove to that wretched Shinku that I am not junk.”

“I’m just gonna call you Peridot, desu.  I don’t do the master thing like Souseiseki, desu.”

    “Oh.. so that’s what it means. I still prefer Peridot,” she replied and nodded to the other. “Please do so..” She didn’t want to be called a runt.. Though when she looked to the door, she saw employees heading her way.. Looking quite annoyed. “Come with me,” she piped up before running for it to the door and past the employees who were probably going to kick her out.

Suiseiseki snickered the top of her case closing as she shot out the doors of the library.  She’d wait outside for Peridot and Souseiseki

“If that is how you want to be addressed I will do my best to call you that way. Lets be off then.” Souseiseki replied, floating with her case open, beside Peridot as she strolled out of the library.

“What’s a rosamystica?”

“The core of my being. It’s a gemstone imbued with magic, that allows us to move, live, and be just like you or a human.”

“Humans don’t have quite the same thing – but that does give me some insight. You’re like artificial gems, almost.”

“Each Rozen Maiden had a title that corresponds to our rosamystica. Mine is Reiner Rubin. It means Pure Ruby, so my rosamystica is a ruby.”

“…do you have any control over fire? Just, by chance?”

Pearl took the steaming pot off of the stove, looking for tea bags in the cupboard.

"No, though I am known to have a temper. I control rose petals." She replied, a small whirl of perfect rose petals coming from her hand

Pearl did not flinch as she felt it meld with her form. She wondered how it would affect her regeneration for a moment before answering. “Of course. Would you like some?”

Pearl smiled back, going to the kitchen to start a pot of tea – the only human food she could really stand. “I’ll admit, I’m a bit curious to your origins,” she said.

“The doll maker Roezn wanted to make the perfect girl, and so he made a special doll, but she still wasn’t perfect, and he continued to make more, until finally he made seven... He then bid us to become Alice, what he calls the perfect girl...” she explained, sitting on a stool

“There are two ways to become Alice... The Alice game, where we sisters must fight eachother and take the loser’s Rosamystica... And My way... Beating them in the alice game, and leaving them with their Rosamystica”

“Suiguintou is… She was able to move without a Rosamystica… All because of her love for father. He left her incomplete on his work bench and then dissappered one day.” she replied with a small frown

“She may be the strongest of us sisters… But her mind is the weakest. I pity her.”

“Rosamystica?” Lapis was still a bit confused on this. “Wait, what are you?” The ocean gem knew it was a doll, it was quite obvious, but there was something more to it. 

Her mind is the weakest? She didn’t comprehend what she meant by that, but pushed it aside for now.

“I am a Rozen Maiden doll.  A rosamystica is the core of a Rozen Maiden’s being. It’s what makes us, us. Gem stones imbued with magic by father. without them we can’t move, think, feel... We’re just dolls.” she replied

“So a medium is just a power source?” Pearl said, not quite asking. “I suppose that wouldn’t be too bad, assuming it would not affect my ability to function…”

She looked over the doll, remembering Rose’s note. “I think I could do that. How do I become a Medium?”

She held out her hand, upon which was a small ring. It looked like a golden rose with silver vines to hold it on. “Simply kiss the ring.” she replied with a small smile

Pearl took the ring carefully, admiring its craftsmanship. “This is a lovely ring,” she praised, slipping it on her finger. She kissed it softly.

A soft heat came from the ring as it became part of pearls physical form “Do you have any tea?”

Steven and the Doll

A kit arrived in the mail at the Universe home, a book titled “How to make Girls” and a large box with doll parts and tools to make the doll. It also included a wind up key, and a certificate of authenticity. 

The gems had been away with Peridot for a while so they could deal with the cluster, leaving Steven alone. It seemed that this was a gift to allieviate his boredom.
