Natives Helping Natives: Please help my kitty
Hello everyone. I really hate to ask for this but last night was so terrible.

This is my cat, Pikku. She’s 1 year old and I adopted her back in January when my other cat Kesä developed a throat tumor that covered his esophagus. He had to be put down. Pikku has brought so much love and happiness into my life over this past five months.
I won’t post the pictures but proceed with care, there’s a pretty violent description coming up:
So yesterday, my two year old nephew opened the front door and Pikku ran outside. We tried to get her but she was too fast and we lost track of her. She was outside for about 45 minutes or so.
It was getting dark so I went out in the backyard and was calling her. When I came back to the front of the house, she was there in the driveway and looked like she was getting ready to jump up on the porch to come in. But she didn’t jump up. She was all bunched up, ready to jump, but just didn’t.
So I came over to pick her up and she has a MASSIVE gash on her belly. It literally looked like someone disemboweled her. It was a big gaping, open wound (we later found out the skin was pulled off the abdominal wall). There was no blood or organs hanging out or anything but it scared the actual hell out of me. We called an emergency vet and dropped her off last night. She’s going to be in there for a couple days. Last time I heard from them they said that she’s stable and they’re going to begin surgery. That was around 7:45 am this morning. Still waiting for them to call when they’re done.
The estimated cost of all of this is $4000, and that cost can double if she needs additional surgeries. Last night we needed to make a $2300 deposit just for them to begin the X-Rays and surgery prep. We have to pay the rest when we pick her up at the vet.
They said she’s very sweet and has been getting lots of pets and love. I’m still so devastated by all of this. She’s such a sweet cat and she’s so good and I hated seeing her like that. I cried for hours last night. They said it’s going to be a long process to get her all healed up. My poor baby.
If anybody can help me cover these vet fees I would really appreciate this.
