Has menstrual cramps, on antibiotics for a little infection, bad and depressed mood, raining outside... goes for a run.

Worst timing in the world, I have exams, papers to write and just took a new temp job as a secretary...:-(

I have to take cortison, so gaining weight and feeling dizzy. Not a great start into February 2016...

how come, this is supposed to be the best time of my life and all I think about is how to pay rent and get through a month, work and study my ass off.  so, if this is the best... what’s going to be next year? where is the freedom in any of it?

This is from my run on Saturday, when all the snow decided to melt at once and leave an icy layer on EVERYTHING. The trail was super slippery and I had to run on rougher part to not risk an injury. It was a super slow run and still I am proud I did it. Especially in the beginning, putting on the gear and getting out of the house is the hardest part. Everything else falls into place with consistency.

Excited for my third run this year today, I will keep you updated!

me: i went for the first run in forever yesterday. it was amazing, cold crisp air, snow, icy trails, super bright sun, my legs are super sore today. I feel great!

colleague1: so, it was cold and icy, you ran around freezing and now everything hurts? runners are masochists and strange. 

colleague2 (runner too)(looks at me): I’m with you, sis’.

colleague1 leaves run mumbling.

Spend this morning with my Dad, celebrating my birthday. We went to a nice coffee place to get breakfast. He brought a little cake and placed this enormously high number of candles on it and lit it. My Dad is not a very extroversive or emotional person, so this really moved me!

The Jungle Book is one of my favorite Disney movies and I always wanted to read the ‘original’ story. (Absolute-and-for-always-and-forever-favorite is Robin Hood ;-) )
