Apollo sighed shaking his head. “You named your cat Lucifer? After the devil… must be one nasty cat.”
“He’s called Lucy for short if it makes it any better. And he’s not a nasty cat, he’s lovely...if he likes you. Which is why I need to find him before he meets someone he doesn’t like and tries to rip their face off or something.”
“Not a very nice way to describe your co-worker,” she teased, referring to herself. “No, I haven’t seen your cat. Sorry.”
“I would never describe you like that! You’re much more of a guinea pig than a cat.” Chiwon smirked. “Well, that’s no help.” Chiwon pouted hoping that the animal might have just found a heater to curl up next to.
“Oh, um, do you mind repeating that?” Theo asked softly, smiling apologetically as he turned around to face the other man. “I can’t….um, I can’t hear you.”

Chiwon frowned slightly at the comment before realisation finally hit him. “Fuck, sorry! I wasn’t thinking.” Chiwon said, this time making sure Theo could actually see his face. “I was just saying that someone was running around looking for you earlier. I thought you should know.”
“Wow, okay, of course. What a huge difference,” Lance chuckled some more. “You’d better…locate him soon then.”
“Thanks for that, Captain obvious.” Chiwon sighed. “If you do happen to see him please hide him for me. I don’t need the CEO finding out, I rather like having a job.”
“I…think I would remember seeing a cat that big, I’m sorry. Do you need help looking for it?”
“Most people do remember dear Lucifer after meeting him. Some help would be kinda good.”
“can’t say i have. do you have any other descriptions? is this cat yours?”
“Yeah, he’s mine. Sadly. He’s very fluffy, was probably curled up under a heater somewhere, is about the right size for a young child to ride him like a horse? Seen anything like that?”
“You….lost your cat?”
“I haven’t lost him and stop fucking laughing at me.” Chiwon huffed. “He’s just decided to go walking somewhere and I have no idea where he is.”
“I didn’t see any cat around here hyung” he said while looking at his phone “wait, did you bring your cat to work?”
“Fuck.” Chiwon mumbled rubbing his head as he tried to work out where the feline had gone. “Maybe...never follow in the footsteps of your hyung, kid. I’m only here to show you what you shouldn’t do. Like bring a bastard of a cat to work.”
“not even in my wildest dreams.”
“Yah, you’re no help random trainee who I don’t know the name of.”
“Oh I don’t doubt that. Surprised you haven’t smacked me with it yet to be honest.” he said over his shoulder knowing some comments he had made in the past could have warranted it. The longer he danced the sweatier and hotter he got and at some point he had taken off the tank top so he was bare from the waist up as he focused on working out the new choreography for Crown’s upcoming comeback.
“Sadly I can’t walk around hitting people. Probably get me fired.” He sighed, a teasing smile on his lips Chiwon wanted to deny that his eyes went straight to Xero’s torso when the tank top landed on the floor but that’s where they went. “Oh, I hate you.” He muttered under his breath as he watched the dancing, eyes transfixed by the way Xero’s body moved.
“A cat? At Radioactive? No I can’t say I have. Why? Did you bring and then lose said cat here?”
“No, I would never do that! That would be so irresponsible!” Chiwon said with a gasp before pausing and letting his expression fall. “Ok, I did that please help me. Lucifer could be anywhere by now.”
“A cat?” The male thought for a moment trying to remember if he had seen one running about. Though, there was no memory of him seeing one. That cat must had been hiding really good if he hadn’t seen one running around. “I’m afraid I haven’t, but if I see them I’ll let you know.”
“He’s a maine coon to be exact but yeah, a cat.” Chiwon shrugged. “Ah, dammit Lucifer you little shit.” He hissed when Donghae said he hadn’t seen the animal. Chiwon knew the cat would turn up by the end of the day, he always did, but he was more worried about his boss finding out. “First off, you don’t tell anyone that there’s a cat here or you will regret it and secondly, if you do see him please dump him in my office.”
“Ok this is gonna sound weird but you haven’t seen a massive silver cat that looks like it could eat a dog and answers to the name of the devil walking around have you?”
and kyungho knew the daggers the other had been sending from behind as he continued to mix and match the beats in the younger’s computer, a triumphant grin played across the older’s lips — not only was he creating music, but was also annoying chiwon, double kill, as he would say. at least, the younger knew better than start acting up on him as he was immersed into his work, he was thankful for the other’s bit of cooperation. “are you doubting me? daze can make this work. and it’s a new concept, something fresh for the listeners.” he answered after rapping the first verse, satisfied smirk on his lips.
leaning back to his seat with arms both up his nape, kyungho nodded in agreement, a soft sigh then leaving him. “yeah, sounds too dramatic and cheesy.” he commented, then moving forward to scramble through the notes the other handed him. “can’t you rewrite it now? i can’t find anything that fits.” and as if returning the favor, he sat quietly as he watched the younger rearrange his mix, holding back his desire to hit the younger for touching his creation. “and just so you know, i touch whatever you want, not you can stop me. play that, i want to hear it.”
“I doubt you on a daily basis.” Chiwon said without even bothering to look over at Kyungho. “But I’ll have to agree with eth fact that it’s fresh. Not something I’ve seen before.” It was the closest Chiwon was going to get to giving a compliment, not wanting to admit that the concept actually seemed rather interesting. “Of course, I can rewrite it.” Chiwon mumbled as he reached for a pen and the scrap of paper. He read over it a few more times before finally starting to get to work on the line.
Chiwon hit play without looking up from the paper, still writing away as the music played into the room. “Hmm, I like it.” He said absently, tapping his pen against the desk along with the beat. “Try that. It’s not perfect but it’s better.” He shoved the piece of paper towards Kyungho as he pushed himself out of his chair. He leant up to one of the top shelves, fishing through the piles of notebooks as he leant heavily on his right leg. He knew he had something written down that would work but where it was was a different question.
It’d been the first time he’d rapped since his late wife had passed. He’d been scared to, terrified. It just wasn’t something he felt like he could do well anymore, but he’d done it. With so much encouragement from his kids, and the chance to not only get to collaborate with Nathan, but Minseok as well, he’d decided he could, and he’d agreed to take a part in Docking Station. And was he ever glad he did. Watching the video on his laptop, there was a small smile on his face as he watched Born Hater. “This turned out a lot better than I expected it to,” he mused quietly.
“Turned out great if you ask me.” Chiwon said, peering over the older’s shoulder at the computer screen. Chiwon wasn’t really one to give out compliments but when a song was good there was no point in him trying to deny it. “It was nice to see you rapping again, it’s been a while. You should be proud of it, sunbaenim.” Chiwon sighed as he sat himself in the chair next to Andrew, his knee protesting at having been put under too much pressure for so long.
A soft sigh escaped his lips as he averted his gaze, unable to look Chiwon in the eyes. “I messed up one of my jumps and landed wrong. I thought I would be okay, so I kept going because I didn’t want to interrupt practice. But it never stopped hurting,“ AJ admitted, his fingers lightly caressing the ankle that was causing him so much grief. If only he wasn’t so stubborn— he could only hope he hadn’t made things worse. “Everything will be okay, right?” AJ asked, a lot more quiet this time, and he finally looked back up at Chiwon.
“That’s not the smartest thing you’ve ever done, AJ.” Chiwon pursued his lips as AJ turned to him. Chiwon was an asshole, it was just in his nature but there were times when he knew he shouldn’t be, this was probably one of those times. “It should be. Keep weight off of it until it stops hurting. And I don’t mean until it starts to feel a little better I mean until it stops hurting. You put any pressure on it when it’s not healed and then you’re gonna fuck it up.” Chiwon explained with a shrug. “I would offer to help get you out of here but I don’t think someone who can barely walk helping someone else who can barely walk will work out all that well.”
