Finally, nearly two years later, the reason I posted my last vampire casting call in the first place. Thank you to the handful of people who contributed Sims and have been waiting patiently to see them. Caleb, narrating: The punks and goths that flocked to San Myshuno’s underground were all vampires, even if only aesthetically. As it turned out, being commodified by humans freed us. It allowed the real vampires to come out in droves, no longer doomed to lurk in the shadows. No one gave us a second look. Even I let down my guard — for perhaps the first time ever. There was an easiness to existing, certain pleasures I couldn’t resist. All it took was looking the other way when things inevitably turned bloody.
Marybell decided the time was ripe to put her band idea to the test. She rechristened herself Miss Hell and called her little punk trio Hell’s Bells. [wryly] She never has been one for subtlety. They could barely play their instruments, but their tuneless caterwauling held a certain charm. Only minimal psychic influence was required to pack the city’s grimiest dive bars with enraptured crowds. Of course, that was largely because most of their fans were vampires. Hell’s Bells’ music — messy, cathartic, primal — was made for us. We all got caught up in the chaos.
Lilith: [shouting] Give me a boost, won’t you? I can’t see a damn thing! Much better! The crowd tonight is divine.
Caleb, narrating: And, yes, that often included me. Though I avoided the back alley afterparties, for which Lilith plucked lucky human fans from the audience, a seductive art she’d by then perfected.
I usually left early, feigning ignorance of whatever violence ensued once my back was turned. But that night, for whatever reason, instead of slipping away as the band gasped out its final discordant notes, I hung back. Whether that decision was a stroke of good or bad luck, well, that probably depends on who’s still around to ask.
I like to think that Simeon started going gray as a young adult and decided to play into the 'old man' persona that his students seem to think he is. L and Morgyn don't discourage it either, even jokingly sitting around Simeon's armchair when he starts to read. But even when it's old tales they've heard before, they still get sucked in as their friend reads aloud.

I swear this may be the sweetest render I've ever done. I fully expected it to be goofy but then I got Morgyn and L dropped in and went 'oh no this is precious' XD
Fairies don't like Spellcasters because they feel that their magic is unnatural, and by all accounts, they're not wrong. Life has a cycle, and a forced resurrection is not only risky, but it breaks that law. Even the most skilled Sages throughout history weren't willing to tempt fate - until Morgyn Ember.
The other Sages weren't sure how Morgyn managed to pull it off. They had left the Untamed Sage's body on display in a private room, unable to witness the moment the Reaper collected their friend's soul. They had to track down the killer - a rogue fairy with malicious intentions. Mother Nature had sent her condolences, but in their grief they couldn't tell if the woman's words were sincere.
Barely an hour had passed since Morgyn's passing. The building was empty, save for two Sages struggling to make sense of it all.
To hear the clunk of boots and groaning echo through the halls was cause for concern, but seeing Morgyn gripping the archway with one hand was frightening. They had seen the spellcaster fall. They were certain their friend was dead.
Yet there Morgyn stood, bent oddly and growling, holding a flickering ball of golden light in their right hand.
A soul. Their soul.
Where once green eyes were now white, filled with determination and rage.
It'll be a minute before they turn up in the story again, but they'll definitely be back. In Blood and Ashes they're known as Morgyn: Sage of Flame. They are also allergic to sitting correctly in a chair.
Also giving a quick nod to @simblr-witcherywednesday - it doesn't fit this week's theme, so I probably won't use the tag. But it's Wednesday, and I've got a witch.

been having a rough couple of weeks so i did the only thing that made sense, ✨gave the Vatore siblings a makeover✨ (and while i was at it, gave Morgyn a makeover as well so them and Caleb could slay like the power couple they are. i dont remember who i saw ship them first but you were so right-)
