Hi I went to therapy today for the first time in a while with a new therapist despite having a terrible day before the appointment and I am proud of myself. For me therapy is like resetting a broken bone. You gotta break it again (talk about your traumas and things you wanna change about yourself) but treat it different and set it up so it will heal right this time. Wish me luck.
I'm loving this metaphor for therapy!
WORD!
The Shot That Missed: A Lesson from Col. Rathore
Ever feel like you’re defined by your failures?
That job you didn’t get. The exam you didn’t ace. The plan that fell through.
We wear them like scars.
But then I read this from Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore – the army officer who won India’s first individual Olympic silver medal in shooting.
He said: “You don’t learn as much from your successes as you do from your failures.”
And it hit me.
Success is a photo finish. It’s a blur of joy and relief. You know you won, but you don’t always know precisely why.
But failure? Failure is the slow-motion replay. It’s the frame-by-frame breakdown.
It shows you exactly where your aim was off. Where your grip was weak. Where your focus flickered.
Every missed shot teaches you more than the one that hits the bullseye.
So, your failures aren’t your scars. They are your training logs. Your personal debrief. Your data.
Collect them. Study them. Respect them.
Because the person who never misses a shot isn’t real. The real champion is the one who learned from every single one they missed.
DAMN, this is such a powerful message!
Migrants pay taxes. Billionaire Republicans don’t pay taxes.
Bury the stigma!
"We're ready for you."

Gave him the "Bitch Please" 😂
Yes! It really happened! My dreams have come true!
USA people! Buy NOTHING Feb 28 2025. Not anything. 24 hours. No spending. Buy the day before or after but nothing. NOTHING. February 28 2025. Not gas. Not milk. Not something on a gaming app. Not a penny spent. (Only option in a crisis is local small mom and pop. Nothing. Else.) Promise me. Commit. 1 day. 1 day to scare the shit out of them that they don't get to follow the bullshit executive orders. They don't get to be cowards. If they do, it costs. It costs.
Then, if you can join me for Phase 2. March 7 2025 thtough March 14 2025? No Amazon. None. 1 week. No orders. Not a single item. Not one ebook. Nothing. 1 week. Just 1.
If you live outside the USA boycott US products on February 28 2025 and stand in solidarity with us and also join us for the week of no Amazon.
Are you with me?
Spread the word.

When Donald Trump reentered office, one of his first calls to action was to end several DEI initiatives in the federal government.
'This won't work, this isn't widespread, nobody knows, we're in a bubble, blah blah blah' my mom, a 64 year old lady with no social media whose first language is spanish, told me about this before tumblr did, and said we are going to participate.
I've seen flyers for this in real life. Do it.
Something small we all could do. Good Trouble.
do things you “grew out of”. jump in puddles, bake cookies with your mom, build something from legos, have a disney movie marathon, draw without any final product in mind, read a cringe-worthy YA novel, finger paint, sword fight and cast spells with sticks, chase after fireflies and butterflies, write dramatic diary entries, build pillow forts, sample multiple flavors of ice cream on the little spoons, roll down hills on sunny days, go sledding when there’s snow, never stop dreaming big.
Dance in the middle of the day for no reason.
MENTAL ILLNESS APPS. ONE REBLOG COULD HELP OR EVEN SAVE SOMEONE.
These are all iPhone apps. I have no idea which are available on other phones.

I couldn’t find any of the suicide apps. Most of the positivity apps are there and there’s a bunch more if you search for any one of the one’s on the list
Also, Insight Timer is a GREAT meditation app I've used for years! It has a free tier and a paid tier, but the free version has an abundance of quality material. (I am not paid by Insight Timer in any way)
Library haul! Went way overboard....but it'll motivate me to stay on mission.

How to Cope with Blah Days
1. Recognise that it’s a feeling – and our moods go up and down. Shrug your shoulders, grit your teeth and choose to make it through the day. Nothing’s really wrong – and there is nothing wrong with you. It’s just the way you’re feeling – and our feelings usually change.
2. Don’t be hard and condemn yourself. Don’t beat yourself up for feeling miserable and blah, or for feeling apathetic and low on energy. Be patient, understanding and gentle with yourself. You’re no worse than others for we ALL have blah days
3. Do something rather that nothing. Do a few mindless tasks so you don’t just waste the day – and you’re likely to feel better once those you’ve got those out the way as they’re usually the things that you never want to do!
4. Only do as much as you have to. It’s going to take all your strength just to make it through the day. Preserve your energy – and allow some things to slide. You can always get around to them another day.
5. Be extra nice to yourself. One of the best ways to fight a bleary day is to be nice to yourself and to do the kinds of things that help to lift your mood and to brighten up your day. For example, go out for a coffee, or have a bubble bath, turn up your favourite music or call a bunch of friends. Do all the kinds of things you know will help to boost your mood.
6. Remind yourself that it’s likely to pass. A bad day is just a day. It’s not the whole of your life. It just means that right now you want to crawl back into bed. It doesn’t mean your goals are wrong or that you won’t succeed in life! You’re just having a bad day – and it’s likely to pass.
This hit home. It's exactly what I struggled with today.
