idk what fem trans person needs to hear this but you should get a winter skirt. get a thick long wool skirt. or else you will find yourself with only thin warm weather skirts and then be either freezing cold or dysphoric come winter. do not do that to yourself. invest in a heavy warm skirt and then you can frolic through the snow in style and comfort
donât ask me âwydâ u know iâm at home deteriorating
hate it when the people who I love are suffering due to circumstances beyond my control đ there should be a sea monster that I can slay to fix the problem
nobody ever gets locked in a tower or chained to a rock at sea anymore - it's always some shit like chronic illness or ptsd related depression
Just so you know, a normal response to a child breaking something is to first check to see if they got hurt and then if theyâre old enough make them help clean it up. And then afterwards explaining to them how to avoid doing that in the future. At no point is yelling necessary to make them understand why they shouldnât do that.
This also works for teenz. Teenager get drunk? Well, thatâs a good opportunity to check in with their mental health and teach them how to drink responsibly in the future. Donât try to match the amount your boyfriend drinks, Jessica. You have an estrogen system and youâre like four feet tall. Eat some bread.
A lot of people say this method is âtoo softâ but my dad taught me how to drink when I was fifteen and I never once got yelled at for breaking things and guess who doesnât go around binge drinking and breaking stuff over peoples heads? Me, thatâs who. I didnât need fear or treats to learn things because Iâm not a dog and neither is your child
As someone whose father was the âyell about itâ type of parent, I eventually figured out that if he was determined to see everything I did as intentionally malicious no matter what, then I had nothing to lose or gain by putting the effort in and just quit trying. I already knew not to break things on purpose because I wasnât an idiot, but I had no reason to be polite or generous with HIM because he made it clear through his actions that effort or intent would never be appreciated.
I moved out at 17 and didnât talk to him again till I was 25.
If your actions show that you are determined to see someone as malicious, they will eventually become malicious.

My one friend really likes "yo mama" jokes, but she feels bad for saying them to me because my mama's dead, and lately she's been circumventing this by adding "in heaven" to them, a concept I was introduced to with zero warning via a text that said, "Yo mama's so stupid she's in heaven pre-heating the microwave."
I go to school board & city council meetings regarding trans rights, and something I noticed is that almost every single transfem student who has gone up to defend their right to use the women's lockers & bathrooms has reported being sexually assaulted in school, often multiple times, by cis men & boys.
And yet, what is taken more seriously is the single cisgender girl who went up to speak about her discomfort with trans girls in the lockers & bathrooms. Not danger. Not harm. Not trauma. Discomfort.
The cisgender girl spoke about how she was not comfortable, wheras the transgender girls spoke of how they were not safe. I am somehow supposed to believe these are of equal severity? Eat a fucking brick.
sorry im never active anymore, life just kinda sucks and i dont think to open up tumblr anymore. ive been dealing with loss and going through mental health treatment. maybe eventually ill actually be back idk

just stared in the mirror while brushing my teeth amazed at how i look so different than i expected/thought i looked like, just like wow
catch me not getting lost while getting around today like a boss!! yippeeeeeee
we've been very intensely dysphoric lately but its been interesting because one of our frequent fronters has also been feeling super dysphoric and wanting to present more femininely, and they thought they were a guy but more and more they're wanting to present feminine and all, do voice training again and not take on the kind of androgynous presentation we usually have, though that is mostly a lack of clothes and struggles with sensory issues, but like. its been a surprise, we've had parts realize their romantic orientation wasnt what they expected but this is the first time i think theres been a gender realization other than like, us as a system realizing we're trans way back in like 6th grade. though honestly there has been gender realizations through the years too its just less of a motivation to transition thing. i will strive to no longer forget to change my estrogen patches lol, the dysphoria has been too intense for forgetting those
