Paleontologists recently unearthed the largest tibia ever recorded. Of course, they threw a party to celebrate at the site, and I hear it was quite a shindig.

The universe was quiet.

No surprise really with all the stars dying, growing colder each second.

Usually this wouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things. The end will go back to the beginning, and beginning will one day reach its end.

But the universe had life in it.

And as we all know, life can be very unpredictable and very stubborn.

In spite of it all, two beings were able to save their stars, and go back home.

All because they wanted to stay alive, and were brave enough for others to actually live.

But it wasn't without it's hardships and losses. Due to ignorance and unfortunate events, 25 lives were lost during this journey. 2 from one end of the universe and 23 from another end. And they will always be remembered in the universe that they perished in, for a very, very, long time.....

So long in fact, that the universe held on to their memories and spread it far into the stars, far into space, so that they could never be forgotten.

But what we didn't know was that some of those memories reached a designation, it had a goal, a finish line. And more surprisingly, it reached so far, it wasn't even in this universe.

23 beings woke up.

And the universe laughed.

Foiled!

Today I got to go on one of our runs to more rural shelters to help relieve overcrowding there. We ended up bringing back 21 kittens and 10 dogs. So fun day. But this morning, while I was getting stuff together in preparation for the 90 minute drive…. This happened.

Excuse you Tiniest Opossum, but you are NOT allowed to escape through the front bars of the cat carrier we were housing you in. I’m going to put you back.

“NO!”

I am going to catch you and put you back and you have no say in this matter.

“NO!”

Catching you and putting you back now.

“NOOOOOO!”

Aaaand back you go. Let go of the purple towel and go in the cardboard box.

“Noooooooooooo!”
