(but if there's too many characters then you can choose!! t-thank you)
Hi lovely!! Thank you for this request, it was super fun to write! Hope you enjoy~! <3
You two had been cuddled up having a movie night while the rain outside tapped against the window
You had actually found the setting to be quite soothing, and found yourself resting your head against Sugawara’s chest as you focused on the movie playing
However, an abrupt white flash filled the room, followed by a jarring CRACK!
You shrieked and hid your face in Suga’s neck, too startled to return your gaze to the movie
Noticing you hadn’t recovered, Suga wrapped his arms around you and held you close to himself
“Are you okay, angel?” he asked you softly, beginning to pet your hair with his hand
You gently shook your head and said, “The lightning just always… I don’t like it.”
He didn’t press you to say anything further and simply began humming a slow, soothing melody. Eventually, his sweet voice was able to lull you into a calm sleep
It had been such a beautiful day that you and Kuroo had decided to go to the park!
To both of your surprise, half an hour later the once cloudless sky had morphed into a shade of gray
The gray sky unzipped, dumping what seemed like a flood of rain on you and Kuroo
Laughing at the abruptness of it all, you two darted underneath a wide gazebo near the park
He noticed you shivering from how soaked you were and began to take off his hoodie for you to wear. Behind him, the sky suddenly flashed a blinding white, with thunder rumbling shortly after
Kuroo heard you draw in a sharp breath as your whole body stiffened
“Hey, hey, it’s okay kitten. Come here,” he said with concern. You stepped into his open arms and he wrapped his hoodie around both of you
Holding you close, he said, “You’re safe, I’m right here. I’ve got you, (Y/n).”
It was late at night, and you couldn’t sleep because of the loud thunder that kept rattling your house
You had had your head buried face down in your pillow for the longest time, folding it over your ears in a futile attempt to muffle the sound
Of course, the moment you lifted your head out of the pillow in frustration, you were just in time to see your entire room light up with an almost blinding flash of lightning
You quickly picked up your phone and called your boyfriend, Akaashi, hoping he’d pick up despite the ungodly hour
After three rings, his groggy voice answered, “Hello? (Y/n)?” When you were still too rattled to answer, he continued, “Why are you awake right now, hon? Are you okay?”
You told him that the storm was keeping you awake and the lightning had freaked you out, to which he responded with a soft hum
“I’m sorry I can’t be over there right now, (Y/n). Do you want to just talk for a while?”
Listening to his even, soft voice talk about anything and everything helped to relax you, and less than an hour later you had fallen asleep on the call with him
You were at his house when the storm blew out the electricity
After lighting what felt like a hundred candles around the house, you both found yourself very bored
However, he eventually had the idea that playing some slow love songs on your phones and dancing together in the dark would be a very romantic way to spend the time
You were both enjoying yourselves when, on beat, lightning flashed through a large window in the room
He noticed your rhythm falter before you froze up and stopped moving entirely
Concern tensing his grip on your waist, he asked, “What happened, (Y/n)? The thunder?” You shook your head. “Lightning?” Slowly, you nodded
Nodding back, Oikawa stopped the music and gently grabbed your hand, leading you to the couch. He sat down and patted the spot next to him
Once you had sat down, he hugged his arms around you and pulled you to sit on his lap and rested your head against his chest. “It’s alright,” he soothed, gently rubbing up and down the arm that wasn’t pressed against him. “It’s okay, baby.”
