Why is everyone on this website actually stupid. Yes even the most marginalised US-American benefits from the privileges afforded to them by living in the Imperial Core. Why do you think Indigenous US-Americans live, on average, in better conditions than Indigenous Americans in Latin America? Why is it that Indigenous US-Americans living on the poorest most isolated and neglected reservations have a better quality of life then the worst off Indigenous Latin American tribe? “Some Indigenous reservations have no water or quality food or electricity.” Straight shot from the city I live in there is bombed out ruins of what once was a city of 16,000 where only a handful of a dozen people remain who live in conditions so inhumane they would be turned into a 20k note Tumblr post if they were happening to any US-American civilian. Yes these people are mostly “white Russians”

Now that I’m not on tumblr and in a better place sometimes I think about to discourses I was on the periphery of. My favorite is maybe that one time “crip punks” were insisting that people with mental health issues/intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities were less oppressed than those with physical disabilities. It’s just funny because it’s demonstrably not true and I think illustrates how a lot of tumblr discourse is based on vibes and little else.

I understand this is because tumblrites are white, self centered and generally do not think about prisoner rights but still. It is kind of funny

First tumblr post in awhile but #noticing a certian subset of “mental health positivity” people who use their mental illness as an excuse for everything under the sun but roll out “it’s an explanation, not an excuse!” when it comes to showing empathy to incarcerated mentally ill people.

If Berengar suffered from epilepsy and, according to the book, his seizures were very easily triggered, do you think that Malachi had to learn how to handle epileptic seizures to support his lover? Do you think he would take care of Berengar during his bad moments or would he just drop him at Severinus' clinic and go back to his business?

TvSeries!Malachi feels more likely to take care of his sick lover but book!Malachi, despite not showing many emotion on page, was indeed very jealous of Berengar so... maybe he did care enough to look after him?

I cannot emphasize how many wikipedia articles are just uncritical regurgitations of US propaganda.

The reason Wikipedia cannot be a source because it is a collection of sources and sometimes those sources are wrong which is why it's important to actually look at those sources and where they come from rather than uncritically regurgitating a summary of a bunch of articles that you haven't read and don't even know who wrote them or where they came from
