Wow, a finished piece

been a while, but have a WIP Symphony and 2 friends managed to crit (aka triple crit) and get her head crushed by a beautiful ogre lady. 

A base was used, I however cannot find the source that made the base The ogre is based on Kreyton from Cloud Meadow (no I have not played the game, my DM found the image)  wowie does my character ruin the beauty of the ogre.  But hey, my shading is getting better.

another wip, but this one is actually nearly done.  Just missing shading/lighting, and the sleeves need to be transparent. then might add some fishies and plants or somethin

This is Echo, btw. Also from the wednesday campaign. She grew up in this weird cave that’s basically made from Juiblex who looks like the slime dude from Hotel Transylvania. She’s the first of her people to have magic, after many years, and was basically being used as a political weapon until a group of adventures happened upon her town in the cave. She’s angsty but loves exploring this new world with people. Even befriended a tortle that I NEED to draw. sadly, she doesn’t speak bops like the mushroom people.

do you have any tutorial on how to paint gold? your gold motifs are so beautiful and it's something i struggle with. Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks! Uhh it generally shifts based on the texture & shape I’m going for, but here’s my general process / rule of thumb:

Or if you lock layer transparency — or however its called in Photoshop — you can use a textured brush to quickly pepper in some highlights & shadow to add a gold-ish effect:

I forgot one more thing! Adding extra details can help make gold pop even more in your paintings. Putting on some well-place highlights, a little blur, and a lil overlay layer makes a world of difference:
