Brother
It's ironic how anxious I get about the mundane life I am living
Death and Other Things
II
Death is nonsense
Or something that shouldn’t make sense
But does
Death is simple,
Or could be simple if our
consciousness didn’t allow for reflection
If we were still animals in trees
Death is non-existent
Or we choose to think so
And if death does not exist
Afterlife must be.
III
Afterlife
I’m floating
Way up above the milky way
Some other unknown galaxy
It has stars too
Swimming in a sea of dark navy
Nothing holds me
Nothing pushes me
I am, simply
My dark curly hair drips down from my scalp
It doesn’t sway
There is no wind
If heaven is what they promised
There must be nothing to strive for
To work at
To fail
To learn
No need to hold the weight of my being
This is why I am floating
There is nothing do to
My very existence is unnecessary
If heaven is what they promised, then it must be hell as well.
Two Years Time
Falling for love
Then you
Falling
In the first of last
We’re past the knowing
Bodies wrapped in white
Every pain stranded
On poles of the bed
All the leaves
Then it starts to snow
The sun comes out
Tomorrow
Will be something different
In bed we lay
Thinking
Strange is scattering
Normality to dissipate
Dispute
Disputes
With your heart in mine
Did you ever
Snap the branches leaves
All the piece
Turns to spit
All that time you let us run.
Adam and Eve
Billions and billions of little creatures
Surmounting an unknown territory
They clasp their bony fingers onto the soiled ground
And scream, and dance, and sing around
Eat everything in sight
Until their bellies are large and swollen
Diminished is what has becomes of sane
The ones too weak to survive, scream in horror
vain
Nobody thinks about the consequences or lack of resource
The hunger that will come to be
Or the rotting, polluting garbage produced
A small one suggests that they should reduce
He is trampled on, by a stampede
The grumbling in their stomachs forces them to feed
Unfortunately, on him
Licking his lips, eating something juicy and sweet
He's happy with the outcome of the Good's defeat
He has won
He has turned this place mad
Crack In the Ground
There is a crack in the ground
A chiseled line
What comes out it , is only the things you hoped to find
Your childhood memories
And a dad that you’ve missed
An emotion indescribable
And a mother’s tender kiss
And in the fraction of the earth
Are all your emotions spillling out
Like oil on the ground
Or those tantrums that you shout
Your deepest fears
And a heart-felt goodbye
An earful of confusion
And the boy that made you shy
And in the imperfection of the soil
Are all you subconscious thoughts
The things you refused to listen to
And the memories that got caught
A voice that is chastising you
A memory played over and again
The ones that tried to help you
The ones that never made amend
And in this line , splitting the world in two
On either side
Is
Me
And
You
Afterglow
What else am I supposed to do?
I’m not going to
sit in the afterglow
Sulk in it ( not bask)
It will stain my lungs
And coat them with a glittery resin
After I’ve breathed in the glow, for long enough
It will begin to seep through my pores and make its way into my bones and down my blood stream
My eyes will become red and stoned from the chalky air
And my thoughts will put me into a fever
I’ll knock out because my eyes will become tired of trying to stay in their sockets.
