God gives his toughest battles to lesbians in the bridgerton fandom.

I think modern day Remus Lupin (60 year old) would absolutely have a journal where he writes all his passwords— and then when he flips it’s pages to find one, he doesn’t always understand his own handwriting.
And then Sirius says, “Just get it to unlock with your face already. I’ll call Harry so he can set it up for you.”
Remus is the type of person who refuses to buy any sort of new technology, he has a flip phone, 1 singular computer and if hes feeling daring a computer because he doesnt trust newer technology. Not in a conspiracy theory way, just in the “why would I need it if I have something that works perfectly well” way.
He probably also has a bunch of stuff that Harry or Sirius have tried installing around his house that he has just never used.
A particular moment in time I want to capture with Sirius, is the frustrating point of transition where he learns how to mobilise himself against the death eaters, where he understands what theyre capable of and what they are doing. But has been raised in such a point of privilege that he has no idea the scale at which it effects everything in the world, and how truly unavoidable it is. His family is and has always been so closely linked to Voldemort, the death eaters and their ideology that he struggles to fully entangle it and he sees freedom from his family as freedom from all of it. Hes out of the woods now. Its okay
Just to be met with the fact that hes not. Its not gone away, and its not going to go away unless he throws himself back into the battle it feels like hes been facing his entire life. The reality that the freedom he thinks hes feeling is just an illusion. And his inability to accept it, wanting to hold onto the illusion that he can have dun and be free from all this for a little longer. He made it out in one piece and its over now.
But as things get worse and worse around him hes forced to come to terms with the fact this is bigger than him and his independent feelings, bigger than his comfort. That by running away and choosing not to face it, hes turning a blind eye and letting evil fester and grow. That its not fair. None of it is. But that fair doesnt matter, and that he needs to sacrifice his insecurities, fears, and desires for the bigger picture. That despite how awful everything he went through was, he still has a mindset that was forged from privilege and that growing past that will be difficult, and ugly, and unfair.
But if he doesn't he's no better than the rest his family.
I so badly want to capture the awkward, messy, non linear acceptance of this. To capture the flaws in his mindset and his actions, and to not let him just be some hero who knew that it was his duty to put himself on the line for the greater good straight away. To show that he wasnt always as heroic as he'd eventually become, and that knowing whats wrong with the world doesnt instantly teach you how to mobilise against it, and that he has to take the responsibility to unlearn his privileges and learn to channel his anger towards something greater than himself.
But i struggled like hell to just try and put the idea into words here, I have no clue how I'm gonna capture that in a story lol
TLDR Sirius has to accept that things wont just sort themselves out and that he has to get his hands dirty, and tries to avoid that reality for as long as he can.
And for my next trick I will read the entirety of ATYD again before its taken off AO3
Wolf star fanfiction in a slight alternative universe where at the End of hogwarts there is an expectation that witches and Wizards will either go into Muggle university to learn a job that helps them assimilate into the wizarding world, or take on a role as a wizarding apprentice in the world of magic. With an expected gap year either which way because of the gap between wizarding and muggle education.
And it follows Remus as he battles with trying to decide what he wants to do with the rest of his life, not having a particular role hes passionate for in the world of magic, but feeling like its the only place that will come close to accepting him as a wizard. Being told by everyone around him how much potential he shows, but not feeling like he has any direction for it. Spending his gap year with an over enthusiastic Sirius.
And Sirius whos recently become obsessed with a new underground band he's discovered, and being entranced by the feeling of freedom from his family and having something he thinks he can truly call his *own* in the shape of this new band. Romanticizing the idea of a quiet muggle life throughout, openly rejecting everyones preconceived notions of what he *should* do with himself in order to finally be able to carve a destiny of his own. Trying to share his passion with Remus in hopes that they can share in together because he has been YEARNING for Remus for years and sees nothing more intimate than opening his interest that he holds so close to his heart to him so they can share in the experience together.
All the while Remus is still completely oblivious that sirius has loved him all this time, and is slowly realising that what he feels for sirius might be a step above regular friendship.
Never drawn sirius before but the brainrot took over + A silly little oc

One thing Ive never got in the marauders fandom is the critique people give others that “its not canon to harry potter” like I thought we were all here to escape Joanne why would I care about whats canon
A real Wolfstar shipper never speaks ill of Nymphadora Tonks
Tumblr is my project idea dumping ground so…I really need to get back to the plan I made a few months ago, where I extracted all the elements I liked from Harry potter, and all the elements I thought the fandom liked most and tried to see how far I could run with it making my own story from those bones.
But i have like 70 projects on the go
Been thinking about this for a second, but with all the hullabaloo about Chappel Roans grammys outfit I want to try and put this into words.
I’m so sick of slutshaming being repackaged as feminism. Ive seen so many people hate on Pop girls like Sabrina Carpenter and Chappel Roan for “over sexualising themselves” when in reality its just discomfort at women having and using their sexual autonomy.
There are genuine discussions to be had about situations like Sydney Sweeney who is doing a right wing grift and portraying herself as a sexual object for the appeal of conservative men. But that is an entirely different situation to….let me check….Sabrina Carpenter making tongue in cheek jokes and….her and Chappel wearing revealing clothing….?
And it annoys me that genuine feminist language and talking points are being coopted to spread the complete opposite message, to push conservative values and harmful values about women. To act as though a woman Making (honestly lightly) sexual jokes “degrades” her as a woman IS SLUTSHAMING, To call a woman disgusting for showing her boobs IS SLUTSHAMING!! Just because you pathologise it behind feminist buzzwords and talking points doesnt change that fact.
And I’m so tired of this trend, actually effective talking points and terminologies are coopted and used to push the opposite harmful narrative. It happens so often and the words and tools are defanged and recontextualised, pushing down the voices of the people who use them correctly to re-establish the status quo that these words and terminologies were created to deconstruct and take apart.
Tl:dr Maybe if youre uncomfortable with women expressing themselves sexually, you should self reflect rather than blaming the women and trying to hide behind feminism 🤷♀️
Just got to microdose my gf on pathalogic lore #winning
There's a real meanness and selfishness to Violet Bridgerton that doesn't get acknowledged enough.
She only shows real warmth and interest in her adult kids in order to coax them into living out love stories for her, or as a reward for getting involved in romance.
When they push back or resist, she is cold and resentful.
When they don't play the parts she has assigned to them, she is cold and resentful.
She never shows interest in their lives, their interests or abilities, outside of romance.
And even when they do look for love, like Francesca, but do it "wrong", when it's not the dramatic, swooning love story that she prefers, she resents that too.
And even though she pushes and pushes her daughters into marriage, she gives them absolutely no preparation for what that entails.
She sends them merrily off into marriage with no information about sex whatsoever, leaving them exposed to all sorts of discomfort and mistreatment, because if her daughters haven't been told what to expect, they're not going to be able to tell when something is wrong.
She doesn't see her children as fully fledged human beings, but as means to live out love stories again.
Adding onto this, the way the show REPEATEDLY oaints Violet in a good light and as the perfect mother, but Portia as this annoying woman whos always played uo for laughs and is a “terribly strict mother.” Has ALWAYS bugged me.
Because objectively theyre puth as pushy and strict as each other, Portia is just wayy more blunt about it. And throughout the show we’ve watched Portia claw her and her daughters out of the mud their father left them in and prove she will do ANYTHING for her daughters well being.
But the show always shows Violet as the “lovely understanding mother”. I cant stand it
I've had issues with Portia for how she treated Marina, but at least her family was in genuine financial difficulty. And when it looked like Pen would be a spinster, she gave her genuine comfort, telling her the benefits. She was proud of Pen for finding a good match, but she was also happy to let Pen be. There is no reason for Violet to keep forcing Eloise, and then punishing her when she doesn't play along, except for Violet's own narrow mindedness.
Exactly! I dont think Portia is perfect, in the Marina situation especially she was awful. But I cant stand how the show holds her to a higher standard than it does Violet, the show portrays Pen as needing to stand up to her mother and almost “dreaming” of Violet being her mother instead and of being a bridgerton (like when she starts wearing blue in season four instead of the Featherington yellow).
The standard that Violet is held to is completely different to a lot of the other female characters because the writers want us to like her, and the Bridgertons. And I really hope that someone stands up to her soon and calls her out or humbles her.

Catching yo on the new bridgerton season and its rather bittersweet. On one hand the Benedict and Sophie plotline is really nicely done and Benedicts yearning is everything
……butttt I do feel a little cheated that they promised proper development and exploration of his bisexuality and so far (episode two) theyre yet to even have him DISCUSS it. Theyve put him with two men in very very brief scenes between seasons, and set up that there would be some turmoil for it….has that happened?? Nope!
I am only two episodes into season four though so it could very well happen a bit later, but this had me wondering for an au…
Genderbent Sophie Au… now hear me out. A male sophie who CROSS DRESSED to get into the ball which makes Benedicts hunt for her all the more difficult, and faces both of them with the turmoil pf having fallen in love with someone outside of their class bracket, with Sophie being illegitimate AND also the second born Bridgerton being a rake AND a homosexual. And them ot would also tie into the feelings that Francesca is having and we could see more of the depths of her and Benedicts relationships and differing perspectives on the queer experience in history.
Please say you guys see my vision
canonically stinky
