Rhaella abusing Viserys, Elia being a-okay with her humiliation and teaming up with Rhaegar to groom a teenager, Lyanna somehow being more prophecy obsessed than Rhaegar, elishara only being confirmed to whitewash Rhaegar’s actions, the Dornish being an orientalist mess, every single woman in this play being turned into a hysterical loco or being villainized in in order to uplift the men specifically absolving Rhaegar of any blame and sanitizing Aerys………turn this shit the fuck off

Or no, maybe I'm not. I'm not taking this play seriously. Someone in the writing room went overboard with the drvgs included in the costs. I feel like I'm having a repeat of the Martin vs. Condal experience.

From what I've heard, it's not canon, thank God 🙏

I'm absolutely positive that this quote alone can challenge and destroy the Greens' rhetoric. It also shows how King Viserys loved his grandson. I wish he had done more to ensure that both him and his mother ascend the Iron Throne freely.

Pieśń smoka

Głoszą legendę dzieciom ich ojcowie,

jakiej nikt inny nigdy im nie powie.

Rzekł ją pierwszy z nich, pradawny królów mit,

i na ostrzu wykuł, że przyniesie świt

po śnieżnym przesileniu dziecię skały

zrodzone w ogniu z jego krwi. Powstały

tym sposobem dym wróci dynastii blask,

nazwie swoimi chłód północy i trzask

płomieni, po czym na czaszkach i mieczach

wrogów usiądzie — po sześciu półwieczach

od podboju przodków. Ten smok trzygłowy

czerwony jak krew na czerni jak łowy

jego oddechu powróci z zaświatów,

przerwie łańcuchy i ukarze katów.

Będzie włos blady jak księżycowy zew,

a imieniem — słowa — ogień i krew.

The poem translated to English

The Dragon's Song

Fathers are telling their children a legend

that no one else will ever tell them.

The first of them said it, the ancient myth of kings,

and on the blade he forged that the dawn will come

after the snowy solstice because of the child of the stone

born in fire from his blood. The smoke created

this way will bring back the dynasty's glory,

she will call her own the cold of the north and the crackling

of flames, then on skulls and swords

of her enemies she shall sit — after three centuries

since her ancestors' conquest. This three-headed dragon

red like blood on black field like the hunt

of her breath shall come back from the afterlife,
