“Thanks, I really appreciate it. Honestly, the storm came out of nowhere; I thought I’d get washed away.” Waverly laughed as she accepted the towel and drink. Finding genuine, kind people in this day and age was rare. It seemed like everyone stood to gain something from their kindness, but the person before her had an aura of calmness and warmth that put her at ease for some reason.

“ I like that… Makes sense. “ She said with a nod, drying her hair as much as possible. “Anything that comes easy doesn’t really teach you anything, I guess. I suppose I learned to check the forecast more thoroughly and make sure I have my car with me to get back home.” Waverly laughed. “ Thanks again for letting me in. It’s not every day you meet people who aren’t afraid to invite a stranger into their home.”

Sienna smiled. "You're welcome and yes, the weather here is unpredictable, the sea has its way of keeping you on your toes." She said softly. It was Sienna's job to take care of the people in this town. To look out for storms and other things from the sea.

"He had a way with words." She chuckled. "Yes, I find carrying an umbrella here is always the best choice, even if the sun is out." She walked over to the woodburning stove and put a few logs in. "You can stay here while the storm clears. All the boats are docks, so they won't need me at the top of the light house. It'll be nice to have some company."

Sienna eyed the newcomer. It seemed he knew or at least had an idea of what she was. She watched the sky, taking in the conditions before she looked to him. "I think more sailors and fishman here would die." She admitted. "I'm good at my job, but my song is what guides them in." Sienna said softly.

"Mythology, stories and movies claim us as wicked. My mother saved my father, gave him me? Would a wicked creature do that?" She asked. "People judge by looks and what they hear. That doesn't seem fair."

"Oh. I'm sorry." Sienna said, softly. "I was down at the beach, finding dinner." She explained, holding a basket up. "I take care of the light house. I also help the inn keeper. She's getting a bit older, getting food isn't so easy for her these days." Sienna explained.

"I'm Sienna Sherman. I grew up here, my father was a fisherman, the inn keeper took care of me when he'd sail out."

"There you are." Sienna said softly, handing over a towel and setting a cup of tea in front of them. "it's pretty bad out there, so you can stay here until it calms down." She said before walking to the window and looking out towards the beach.

"My father used to repeat this quote. 'a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor'." She recited. "Sorry your beach day was ruined, it's not always like this here."

Sienna looked down at the figure. "Hello." She spoke softly, leaning down. She'd been up in the lighthouse when the storm started. "Hey, come on." Her hands cupped their face. "You'll be swallowed by the tide if you don't get up. This storm will only get worse." She looked out into the sea. She could smell it in the air, hear the song in the winds. "Please. Let me help you."
