okay time to complain about mech/femme as a dichotomy and why it's bad. list time:

"femme" is a gender presentation term. in fact, its attached directly to lesbians! are all women lesbians? someone who is femme dresses femininely, "femme" isnt a gender, its an adjective. when a lesbian is "femme", they present with femininity in mind. you cant use this word. why did you use this word. what if the "femme" is butch? youd be calling a butch a femme. im gonna kill somebody. this term implies all robot women are feminine, and this is more important thant their identity as a robot becaue they arent being referred to as robots

none of the gender ideas that came out of transformers were good. i can very clearly tell who is a boy and who is a girl based on societal standards of basically every robot i see, excluding maybe earthspark. twitch is pretty neutral when it comes to presentation. there are four women on the lost light. femininity isnt bad but its also treated as exclusive. girl transformers are 'rare' in this sense. like banger feminine designs arent bad but a LOT of tf designs for women is thin, sleek and hourglassed.

"mech" is a robot word. mech is basically just 'large robot'. are you saying boys can be robots but girls cant? im going to throw a chair. who came up with this? not the writers. these terms arent canon. which isnt BAD per se but fandom is misogynistic and many of the things from it will inform me about what you think of women

its a boys and girls dichotomy. bad! there are not only two genders. there arent even defined sexes if you think about it. can i get the robot version of being intersex? is that a thing? if transformers dont reproduce sexually why do they have gendered concepts? (rhetorical question, i dont want to hear about idw)

i want to call my giant robot girls mecha and these terms are so engrossed in this fandom that i see it daily

female characters dont even breach the top ten most-used tags in transformers fanfic so why do you even need this. you really wanted to call arcee a girl? just say girl. or woman.

even if you personally dont mean these things these are the implications they have spawned and will have when they are used

if you try making this about men elita one will personally smite you down
