ngl this whole “bringing the airbenders back” thing that these writers keep doing is really starting to feel like they think that i’m some idiot. like please take an anthropology class or something. do anything to divorce from this idea that the loss of airbenders is the worst result of ethnically cleansing the air nomads. it never pays off well. it leaves a sour taste in my mouth to think about a room of white writers trying to figure out a valid way to undo a consequence of heinously violent colonialism.
