Mine was buried even deeper, under Devices -> Typing -> How AI has helped you.
(Spoiler: it hadn't helped me. But it was on by default.)
This is one of those cases where it's not clear what this feature is doing because Microsoft is deliberately obscuring what it does, but there's something I deeply dislike about Microsoft learning to correct your mistakes so that you yourself do not learn to fix them. Underlining a mispelled word with suggestions is one thing. Auto-fixing them without your notice is not helping you improve in any way.
i want to use tumblr less this summer so im only getting on here via my laptop, which i obviously use less than my phone. ill still be around but hopefully less :) dont be a stranger tho v.v send dms or asks or whatever!
reasserting dominance as a monty fan now that weve reached the acceptance phase
watching the Habs' playoff run has been some of the most fun I've had watching hockey, ever 💙🏒 I've mostly been a casual fan of whatever Canadian team is playing but safe to say I'm ready to call this MY TEAMMM!! excited for next season!! :' )
i love the jokes about Matt chaining Jay to his radiator and stuff but I wanna say, a core part of Matt is that he doesn't actually want to totally take away Jay's autonomy. like he could if he wanted, I believe in his ability to. but what Matt wants is to be chosen by Jay over and over in the same way he chooses Jay over and over. he'll do stuff to manipulate this decision obviously lol. and argue. The Buffet was entirely an exercise in getting Jay to realize how much he needs Matt. and he doesn't stop Jay from getting a job. he even relents and apologizes for his freakout. it's not about the job interview, it's about Jay confessing that Matt doesn't fulfill all his needs and that feels like being shot with a gun. he didn't stop Jay from going to a party, he just turned up and made Jay choose him again, even if Jay wasn't aware of it. Matt presented a choice between him and Kayla and wanted Jay to choose correctly, he didn't block the exits. Matt just needs to be chosen and so Jay needs the freedom to choose and this is the Matt torture nexus because even as Jay will always come around, he will keep Matt doubting for the rest of their lives. it's great, it's really great stuff. that's why there's no radiators in Jay's future and why I'm less into the characterization of Matt as being that brand of controlling
How can you not love the nhl combine?
Matt Johnson: Making the movie, I mean, you and I, I got you a job at the Science Center. And we were, it's really true, because we did spend a lot of time with one another very quickly, and that was such a sinecure position I had. I basically did nothing, and I was like, okay, come work here with me, and we'll spend as much time together as we possibly can. And was it a month? How long? Because I quit, right? We both quit to make this movie, but how long was it between...
Owen Williams: Yeah I- I don't know. It felt like a while for me because at the Science Centre, Matt had a lot of little tricks at the Science Centre about how to have a good time there. The Science Centre is now closed forever, so some of these tricks could be talked about more openly, but it still don't mean to be totally, but just like little ways to do like little time theft. And they made me very, very nervous. Any little thing, you can get out like 10 minutes early if you just do this little thing.
MJ: I forgot about this!
OW: I was so, so, so extremely nervous about any little caper. And Matt was like, this is good, this is training-
Peter Kuplowsky: I mean meanwhile, yeah, you're just auditioning him for the movie.
MJ: He'd already got the job, but at this point I didn't realize that he was getting so much out of it. It's funny to think back, I did have a lot of schemes. I had become good friends with the security guard there who was like, there was something about I couldn't get in a room at some point, and he was like, "Oh man, I'll just get you my skeleton key." And I was like, "Really?" And so he gives me this, and he's like "Just bring it back at some point." Three years later Owen is working there and I'm like, "Where do you wanna go? We'll go in any goddamn room, this is the room I sleep in, here's where I edit Nirvanna the Band the Show." Literally, I had my whole editing setup in one of the classrooms there- I mean, I guess this is despicable, but in a very real way that job created not only the Dirties but Nirvanna the Band the Show. Because only because I had that job that I could afford to live and because, again, I didn't have to do anything there. I was a tour guide. So I would just edit the show all day.
im a protected species you fucking asshole
i work in a field that has a lot of hockey players ambiently in and around it and sometimes it's funny because a guy will say some shit like "seppy shoulder" like thats a completely normal way to say "separated shoulder" or we will all playfully try to psych out our resident goaltender on gameday since everyone else is playing on the opposite team. but sometimes it's also the training guy who is pretty nice chatting with your other now former goalie buddy about the hip resurfacings they recently got done. and it's your former goalie coworker who never had enough money or former hockey connections to really do it for more than fun growing up, even though that still got him bone spurs, who offers the idea of cortisol injections as a way to help with pain in the months following the surgery and it's the trainer who played in the CHL who says 'oh. haha. no. i can't really do that, too much toradol back in the day. with hockey, right? i can get a cortisol injection but it lasts like 24 hours.'
and some of your coworkers who don't play hockey are horrified by this and can't believe it so your training guy talks about how day one of camp each year they'd get all their prescriptions rolled out by the team, downers for when you go on the bus, uppers for going into the game. toradol shots every game sometimes. 'it's what they give racehorses, haha,' he says.
and the ones who don't play hockey say 'wow, god, at least it's definitely better now right?'
and everyone laughs, and he says 'yeah. probably. sure' but there's little exposes coming out all the time about how it really, really isnt.

this nhl draft is funny bc it has the potential to make everyone fucking miserable. leafs jump up to number one (everybody hates that) but the consensus guy gives massive primmadona vibes and has the same high skill low effort knocks as the toronto superstars incumbent. the sharks jump up to two by some funny twist of fate when the most they could have hoped for was a good dman falling to 9 or whatever but now if they take a risky dman at 2 they are potentially letting another franchise altering two way forward slip through their fingers. suffering from success. vancouver missed winning the lottery which they tanked for and deserved but getting 3 means probably drafting your new head coach's son which is awkward, and chicago really needed another star forward at 4 to play with bedard but instead they will probably be picking a defensemen that they dont want or need after taking levshunov at 2 a few years ago instead of sennecke or demidov or helenius etc. a certified everyone stomps and pouts ass draft
