I've been a massive Anne Rice fan since the 90s, The Vampire Lestat is my favorite book in the world. So the new show is.....a rough watch for me, to say the least. I feel like I'm in the minority here since everyone seems to love it. And maybe if I didn't have such a heavy attachment to the source material I would like it too? Some of the changes I get but so many just make me say 'WHY was this necessary for the story?!'

Though I will say I like Sam Reid a lot, I think he is fully capable of playing the Lestat I know and love.

Also some people's 'well this was in the books' makes me wonder if they read the actual books or they were just skimming and filling in their own story because......what?
