One thing about the Pitt fandom that I love is the unlimited supply of sickfics. I eat them up EVERY TIME
avoidant samira x yearning jack is canon to me
⨠Tag Game â¨
Thank you @rose-in-red for tagging me, 10000 hugs sent yr way
Last song I listened to: Timber by kesha, pitbull. I get instant dopamine every single time I listen to it, making it perfect to begin my revision with
Last series: I am notoriously bad with finishing the media I consume, so probably yellowjackets halfway thru s3, (I also have not finished the Pitt )
Last movie: slightly better with movies, Ready or Not, the first one, I watched this only for sm context when I eventually watch the one with Hatosy in
Best thing about the last month: The way this June could be called homophobic with what life's thrown at me, genuinely may have to rethink my future, the lessons learnt was the highlight, as well as Prom.
Currently reading: rereading This is going to hurt by Adam Kay, one of the most authentic insights into healthcare, esp the nhs. The reread is for my personal statement for uni, but it is genuinely such a raw read.
Currently playing: Homescapes, not the biggest gamer, subway surfers is unfortunately the extent of my gaming experience
Currently working on: UCAT UCAT UCAT, ts is actually frying me, like just let me into med, if anyone has masochistic tendencies and 2 hours to spare, might I interest you into taking a UCAT mock
Sweet/Spicy/Savoury: Oooooh, massive sweet tooth when it comes to sour candy, but spicy is where the fun's at
Favorite color: Green, but specifically a sage-y, muddy, khaki green, I highkey don't fw forest green
Current obsession: the nyt crosswords, the ones that are free, all the little 'Americanisms' makes me want to pull my hair out (affectionately)
Tea or Coffee?: I love a good chai, but unfortunately it's not always available so its prolly coffee
Last Internet search: does the UKCAT predict performance in medical and dental school, again this stupid test is currently my number one opp
This was fun, I now invite @throwurjacketonthefloor1 @kittykittyneowmeow69 to share, and everyone who sees this, I love learning whose in my corner
Abbot high fives McKay when he finds out that she too is dating a controversially younger brown coworker.
McKay is not amused.

every single day I think about how american black vultures are known for engaging in allopreening (preening between different species)
and they have a specific relationship with crested caracaras, in which the black vultures assist them by not only preening them after meals but also leading them to food in the first placeâ due to their superior sense of smellâ while the caracaras assist the black vultures by acting as a warning signal in case of danger
and while this is more typical of black vultures, this is not common at all for any member of the falconidae familyâ itâs a special bond!
yet another post in favor of vultures everyone , hope you enjoy:) and I implore you to do some more research on these incredible birds !!
set: do not separate
They were made to hate together
Samira: What is my responsibility here? To comfort insecure heterosexual men? That canât possibly fall to me.
when something bad happens to your favourite female character:
Got blocked for saying exactly why I, as a healthcare worker, do not feel represented by the show anymoređ¤ˇââď¸.
And my tags when I reblogged the post:
bestie ⨠đŤ got blocked with this
âthe Pitt is a realistic show. You donât understand, this is just how healthcare works. No, itâs not strange that majority of the BIPOC characters have either been written off or given a weak or nonexistent arcâ-said a fucking idiot. People of colour, women and immigrants are the very backbone of healthcare. They are our paramedics, doctors, nurses and healthcare technicians. In order for the Pitt to be the ârealisticâ show that sheds a light on the hidden heroes on the sidelines, it must do 2 simple, but essential things:
-Give the POCs voice, give them character, individuality and see them as humans rather than building blocks to prop up the white cis male.
-Do NOT allow the said white cis male to berate, undermine the authority and question the capabilities of his female colleagues,( they are his colleagues, not his subordinates), and not be critical enough of his behaviour, blaming it on his suicidal tendencies.
I am so sick of certain people not acknowledging Robbyâs behaviour as an abusive one and thinking his attitude has a place in healthcare. It doesnât.
Anyone who disagrees, please read the GMCâs Good Medical Practice, and then talk to me.
I said this when Mohan was revealed to not return, Iâm saying it again with Javadi having a smaller part in a psych rotation in season three.
Regardless of their personal intentions, The Pitt has a pattern of reducing, minimizing, or altogether removing BIPOC women from their show, and thatâs not only a disturbing habit, but a very destructive one.
In season three, of the cast we know will be there, four characters of color will be main on screen. Ellis, Santos, and I believe Al-Hashimi is slated to return.
Ellis is potentially a temporary character for this season. Al-Hashimi might leave after this season back to the VA. Besides those, our previous main character of Javadi will be featured in a reduced role, and weâll have some of our nursing staff around as background BIPOC representation, assuming theyâre all returning.
Their intention does not matter. Folks need to understand that. Realism doesnât matter. What matters is the impact this is having.
Characters leaving creates an unsteady viewing experience for the audience and for the cast. Continuously removing BIPOC women from your show does not signal a safe space to your audience. Getting rid of representation not only loses you your label of diverse show, but also has the opposite effect of making the viewers that felt seen no longer have that.
In a way
x readers are the healthiest fanfic consumers. They like a character, they want to see themselves with them.
Meanwhile, we shippers are out here obsessing over fictional peopleâs intimacy, collapsing if we donât get our serotoninâinfused fluff/smut ration. Weâre out here desperately wanting to sit on the cuck chair
Yet for nothing would I abandon my cursed cuck chair lmao

sheâs a poor little meow meow. she was born in a wet cardboard box all alone. sheâs suffered more than jesus. sheâs misunderstood. sheâs a silly guy. she experienced the horrors. she did all those crimes. she has done nothing wrong. she deserves to kill. sheâs the most interesting girl in the world. i didnât say a name, but she popped into your head, didnât she?
