So I thought I’d make one of these intro things, not that anyone gives a shit but here we go-

Anyway, I’m Scottish, neurodivergent, a Gemini and I’m very gay. I love Stranger Things, I discovered the show back in 2016 and 14 year old me thought it was the coolest thing in the world- they were right.

Believe it or not, I do have other interests but I will only be posting about Stranger Things on here, nothing else, with a main focus on BYLER 💛💙

I actually used tumblr a lot from the ages of 13-16 but I stopped and this is my first time back in 6 years, I’m 23 and my birth is June 10th, my old blog was just mostly Stranger Things and the IT remake so I guess my interests haven’t changed much lol

I have 2 cats, they are my babies I love them sooooo much!!! Their names are Tsuki and Tora (update, Tora sadly passed away December 11th 2025)

I have to admit that the scene in the finale where hopper gets vecna‘d is actually SO GOOD, like I knew that el wasn’t dead (plot armour bla bla) but still, THIS is what I wanted the entire final battle to look like

a battle of the minds, showing the main characters their darkest fears come true, slowly driving them insane

THIS is how you do a final battle with horror instead of action, to show that you can’t win with guns, but with love

Now I know we all want to believe in conformity gate… BUT I think it’s safe to say the chances of it being real are actually quite slim and it’s all just due to bad writing and a lack of oversight for the ending of the show (if it is real it’ll be the best thing to ever happen in television but come on guys let’s be realistic)

So let’s just pretend we know it’s not real, 100% with a doubt not happening… why hasn’t Netflix denied it? I’ll tell u why, it’s greed. It’s the same reason they didn’t want to deny byler and admit it wasn’t a thing that they were purposely writing into the story, it makes them more money…

If more people are talking about the show and analysing it, sharing clips, zooming in on things, getting people to go and rewatch the show then make their own videos about it, having the whole thing be spread throughout the internet and even be talked about irl causing even more people to then go and rewatch it- they’ll profit.

It’s making them more money, it’s free marketing they would be missing out on if they shut it down… byler wasn’t just queer baiting, they would’ve done the same shit with a straight ship, it was a blatant disregard for the fans and a gross manipulation of our known love and enjoyment of analysing one of our favourite shows, it’s just unfortunate that it also happened to be queer baiting, I doubt they even knew the effect it would have caused because they didn’t care.

So of course they’re not gonna talk about conformity gate or shut it down, I did see an interview where the duffers said they didn’t shoot a second ending but they were being all dramatic and silly about it saying things like “oh who even has time for all that” but there’s yet to be any kind of official shut down from Netflix, instead they’re leaning into it and posting cryptic stories and post and ads which people are then just analysing as well. They want to milk this for as long as possible, because they know how terrible the finale was and that this is the only way to continue to make money from us.
