Why I’m Confident Reylo is Endgame

I think we are all deeply impressed by Adam Driver as an actor. He brings so much to a role outside of the dialogue. So much that’s not in the script. He wouldn’t play Kylo/Ben the way he has if he didn’t know where it’s headed.

I’m reminded, on Severus Snape’s birthday, of how Alan Rickman protected his character while filming the Harry Potter films. Rowling had told him the truth of his character and he would argue with directors, ensuring that the character was always emotionally true.

I do not believe that an actor of Driver’s talent and integrity would play Kylo/Ben the way he has since TFA if he didn’t know where it’s going. Yes, it may be tragic. But this is a love story and he’s always played it like that.

Poe noticed that BB-8 was interacting with Rey, and that’s when he stepped in to introduce himself.

Not after she shot three fighters out of the sky, and forced the squadron to follow her away.

Not after she demonstrated an act of Force usage that saved the Resistance.

He might be personally impressed with her, but it’s BB-8 that he trusts as a judge of character, and BB-8 clearly likes Rey, and cares about her opinions on its upkeep and maintenance.

Poe is absolutely the single dad of a small child, or dog who falls for the teacher/babysitter/dog walker.

I’m really just emotional about BB-8 asking Rey what she thought of the new antennae, after she repaired them.
