I shouldn’t enjoy isolation as much as I do... but the world just be doin too much
imo we need to swap the phrase “no one will love you until you love yourself” with something to the effect of “if you dnt recognize your own value, you’re a lot more likely to put up with mistreatment that you dnt deserve”
it’s not rly a matter of self-love as much as it is being able to stand up for yrself when you need to, and even though the latter is part of that process, it’s still not the same thing
me: i am INSPIRED i want to WRITE
my brain, immediately: i have never once even seen a sentence
“the Iliad is basically just about Achilles sitting in his tent with his bf, pouting, and threatening to call an uber”- my Greek history professor
paris about to shoot achilles in his one weak spot with the guidance of the god apollo: vibe check
Bro come look at the stars with me I am not feeling like myself
Boobs don’t even matter ladies, it’s what’s under them, your lungs are important, cause we blazing mad weed over here and you need to keep up.
me: *catches myself being judgmental* me to me: i did not raise u this way
Jane and Elizabeth by Bethany Stancliffe
I’m stronger than I look.
He’s strong enough to hold your heart until the end of time.
Why don’t we see more art of Icarus’s father? Guy invents human flight to save himself and his son, then the idiot disobeys his very simple instructions and falls to his death. Where’s my painting of the winged father weeping next to the ocean, miles away from his son’s watery grave, misery etched in every stroke, conveying the hopelessness of knowing that you did your best and it wasn’t enough, your best efforts sabotaged by the foolishness of the one you love most? The greatest human achievement, dreamed of by multitudes, unreplicatable for thousands of years after, but you can’t bear to remember flying because all you can think of is him falling.
I hate that I relate so much to this
Tbh I’m losing interest in everything
not to be dramatic but my whole soul hurts
