“Pretty white women” do get shot dead by cops. Justine Damond called 911 to report a possible assault of a woman behind her house. The cop murdered her. I suspect the only reason he was tried and sentenced to prison was because he was black. He had other complaints outstanding and was being sued for assaulting another woman at the time he killed her.

This is the story I meant. If she’d been a white man, she’d likely have been let off with a warning. She was targeted and brutalized by that cop because she was a “pretty girl”, not in spite of it. Also, there have literally been serial killer cops whose targets were white women and girls. White privilege is a thing, female privilege is not. If you are female, white privilege won’t protect you from a man who wants to hurt you. Your white privilege *might* mean you get hurt less, it *might* mean you survive the ordeal, it *might* mean the man who hurts you faces consequences. But it doesn’t guarantee it.

My mom had a similar experience. She was taken in for something really small and locked in a cell, barefoot and freezing all night, sitting on the floor while police officers taunted her, called her slurs and humiliated her like an animal in a cage. Called her slut, whore, etc. Keep in mind this isn’t even taking place in America lol so like this isn’t just an American thing. To this day, she doesn’t like talking about it because it was “clear the officers were enjoying it.” They liked hurting her. I grew up with my mother BEGGING me not to trust the police.
