French “UFO” coin
This particular item seems to have surfaced in early 2005, reported by a periodical called “PRWEB.” It was discovered prior to that time but it became popular on the Internet at that time. It is thought to have been minted in the 1680s in France but not much else is known about it. The two prominent theories are either the image is a UFO (in the flying saucer sense) or the biblical Ezekiel’s wheel (which has also been mistaken as a UFO in the flying saucer sense). A more plausible explanation is that the “UFO” object is a 17th century shield, but it’s still hard to say.
Since its initial hype in 2005, not much has been written about it but, either way, it is an interesting piece.

What if before civilization, when there was nothing but a barren planet, aliens just showed up in their cryogenic pods and they were like, “Ok, first things first. We need breakfast.” and then they just like added water to a seed and it grew into a Denny’s.
NASA fires back at Anonymous after the collective claims NASA is going to reveal alien life
Earlier this week, a viral video from an Anonymous-associated YouTube account falsely claimed that NASA is about to unveil intelligent alien life found in outer space.
Though we were skeptical of it from the very beginning, a NASA scientist just formally debunked the myth once and for all.
“Contrary to some reports, there’s no pending announcement from NASA regarding extraterrestrial life,” Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, tweeted on June 27. Read more (6/28/17)
