ShinRan Week 🌸 - Day 2 - Role Reversal

If you remember the DCMK WEEK I participated in ages ago lol, I drew my AU in reverse, where Ran was the one who turned into a little girl, and since I love my own AU—even though I haven't really fleshed it out yet lol—but anyway, here it is, taking advantage of ShinRan Week.

I'm excited to hear that there's finally a ShinRanWeek, so I'll try my best to make it happen, even though my institute is taking up a lot of my time lately.

Hi Sauk. Out of curiosity, why do you pair Shiho with Sanada Takahiro instead of Ryusuke Higo? Nothing wrong with it, just curious! :D

SANADA X SHIHO! <3

I discovered him through a fanfic on Ao3. I was searching for Higo x Shiho, but the little I found didn't really convince me.

At first I loved the idea, but then I was like, “meh” about Higo, especially because of the chapter where Haibara gets jealous of Yoko. Then I met Sanada at the end of that same chapter (he gave me really good vibes) and also through a fanfic where it was an AU of ice skaters x musicians. In that story, Sanada teamed up with Shiho. You know? I love it when they put Shiho in the girl group with Ran and Sonoko, I feel like she complements them much better than the boys. Not that it's bad, but I mean... Shiho deserves to have friends! And with Ran, Sonoko, and Kazuha, I love it even more.

Although the ship was in the background in that fanfic, I loved it, and I tried to find more information about Sanada. There isn't much, but I really liked his cheerful personality. I feel like it contrasts really well with how cold Shiho can be, and I love those kinds of couples. Also, Sanada gives me golden retriever vibes (like Ran), while Shiho gives me black cat vibes (like Shinichi), which is why I don't like the Shin/Shi ship so much.

I think there's also another fanfic about these two where Sanada pretends to be part of the Black Organization and helps the police (I don't remember exactly why he does that job as a soccer player, but there it was—laughs). In that story, he saves Shiho, helps her, and comforts my girl.

There are like three fanfics about them and very little content.

Random question for you Sauk, do you think Shinran would enjoy a vacation in Peru? Heck, let's bring Heizuha, KaiAo, and even SonoMako for fun too, a whole 'movie' out of it!

I IMAGINE SHINRAN TAKING A ROMANTIC WALK THROUGH THE PARKS, ADMIRING THE VIEWS.

HEIKAZU WOULD LOVE THE GASTRONOMY. I CAN SEE THEM VISITING RESTAURANTS!

KAIAO AND SONOMAKO MAYBE...

WITH A FRIEND (who knows nothing about DC, she helped me with all these headcanons)

Options for the start of the trip:

Option A: Sonoko convinces everyone because she wants an “exotic” destination full of photo opportunities to show off.

Option B: Ran wins a travel raffle for several people and decides to invite her friends.

Initial dynamics:

Makoto carries all of Sonoko's luggage without complaining, even though she has three huge suitcases for just one week.

Sonoko looks at him as if he were her personal hero, boasting about having her “private knight.”

Sonoko insists on taking selfies at every turn.

Kazuha gets excited trying the local food.

Shinichi pays more attention to Ran than to the tourist sights.

The mystery begins:

That same night, the archaeologist mysteriously disappears.

It is also reported that the newly discovered artifact has been stolen.

Rumors arise of an “Inca curse” that affects those who touch the relics.

The group decides to investigate, with Shinichi and Heiji in charge.

A clue leads them deep into the Amazon rainforest, leaving the tourist trail behind and entering dangerous territory.

Adventures in the jungle:

The group gets lost in the middle of the jungle.

They try to set up a makeshift shelter.

Shinichi and Ran end up sharing a blanket (exchanging glances and blushing 👀).

At the campfire at night, the girls talk:

Ran defends Shinichi as a detective and a person.

Kazuha blushes when talking about Heiji.

Aoko denies that she likes Kaito.

Sonoko openly brags about Makoto.

Ran falls asleep on Shinichi's shoulder; he smiles tenderly.

Key moments:

At a river crossing with a makeshift vine, Shinichi almost falls and Ran holds him up → cliché but tender scene.

Kazuha hurts her foot → Heiji carries her on his back while they argue the whole way. Heiji and Kazuha argue about a clue, but in the end Kazuha finds the key → Heiji hugs her excitedly, she blushes.

Aoko almost falls into a trap, Kaito saves her with a spectacular trick → she hugs him with tears in her eyes, although she later scolds him when he pretends to stagger on a suspension bridge.

Makoto saves Sonoko from a dangerous trap → Sonoko, excited, kisses him in front of everyone → the group reacts with shouts and jokes.

Climax:

They find a hidden ruin where the criminals plan to smuggle the stolen relics.

They discover that the “Inca curse” was just a cover for smuggling.

Shinichi and Heiji work together to solve the case and confront the culprits.

Kaito, in Kid mode, makes a spectacular move to distract the criminals and give the group an advantage.

Ending:

Those responsible for the smuggling are arrested.

The archaeologist appears: he had been kidnapped as part of the plan.

The group manages to get out of the jungle safely. The ending has an air of “this vacation was not what we expected.”

I imagine it in the future, after a hard day. Shinichi spent the whole day imagining Ran in a bunny outfit, but knowing her -who loves animal pajamas- in the end he finds her wearing a cute and cuddly outfit. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Well… I wouldn't mind drawing our Ran bunny as one of my first drawings, jujuju.
