Oh my god, Spider-Man: Brand New Day was SO good.

Honestly, I LOVED the emphasis on platonic relationships in this movie. It was so good that I didn't even think about shipping anyone with anyone the entire time!

The camaraderie between Peter and Frank, the rekindling friendship between Peter and Ned, the 'sure, we're not dating anymore, but that doesn't mean we completely don't care about each other' of Peter and MJ (also I *loved* that Peter told MJ about the kiss, because in so many other movies it would have just been forgotten), the short but fun moments between Peter and Yelena, the moment with Hulk, and of course the eventual understanding between him and Jean, because they both lost the only people that truly cared about them (Jean lost her sister and parents, Peter lost so many people), and they both felt rage because of that loss (Peter literally wanted to kill Green Goblin), and Peter finally voluntarily letting her into his mind, showing her that he understood, that their hurt mattered but they couldn't let it become all they were, that just destroyed me.

I know I may get massacred for this, but Jean was honestly my favourite character in this movie, on par with Peter. I know why she's seen as evil by many, she hurt a lot of people, some very badly. I'm not saying that she didn't, I just honestly think I get her motives. I mean, if I'd been abandoned at such a young age, simply for being different, and *my* older sibling got taken away from me, I'd stop at nothing to get to them. She's young (like, around Peter's age [pretty sure someone from the movie said that], sure, but that's still not forty or anything), she has powerful abilities, she's traumatized, and then she finds out her sister was murdered, and just snaps.

I *loved* that scene in Peter's mind, and honestly I genuinely could see the two of them keeping in touch after everything, becoming friends. I see why people would ship them, and honestly I could too, but right now I really see them more as a found family, and I really think they could work as a team (maybe after Jean goes to the X-Men and learns how to control her powers better?), since Peter did say something about not working alone at the end?

(Also THEY LITERALLY BOTH SAVED EACH OTHER'S LIVES AT THE END THERE SCNNXKDJD)

I don't know, I just love this movie so much.

(*cough* I could 100% see Frank being the half-reluctant tired father/older brother figure to Peter and Jean and nobody will change my mind, I now need a 100 chapter longfic about them working through their trauma together *cough*)

Long post about The Creak In The Attic incoming:

AU: L stays in the attic and he and Junior (Gary???) are besties that's it that's the AU

I wanted so much more of them becoming friends

I imagine it's been a while since L had a friend (probably not since Melson Nelson/whatever-his-name-was-by-the-end caused him to die during that thunderstorm), and Junior's gotta be lonely after he just moved cities (by the way, anyone else got reminded of Inside Out at that first scene or is it just me?), so them being friends would be good for both of them, they'd both have a friend now!

What if, with L being less lonely, he gets the hang of his ghost powers and stuff and can leave the attic by himself at some point? What if Junior shows him all the stuff that's changed in the neighborhood (and in general) since he died in the (insert whenever he died cause I can't remember)? What if they prank people together? What if they just hang out? What if L tells (writes? Or tells using sign language?) Junior all about his life, and they try to track down what happened to his family (if he had any?) after he died? What if L has trauma around storms and Junior comforts him? What if L comes to school with Junior and causes mischief? What if someone at Junior's school finds out and they think he has schizophrenia or something and they tell his dad?

*cough* What if they fall in love after some time *cough* I mean, what? Who said that? 👀

Adding onto this, new idea: Junior getting teased by some kids at school for not having a girlfriend, and so he blurts out "I have a girlfriend!", just because he doesn't want to be the weirdo who doesn't have a girlfriend yet (despite the fact that he's like 10? Maybe this would be after a time skip?), but when they ask him what her name is all he can blurt out is "uh, Elle!"
