Some drawing of my favorite parings from SFTH since today I did my first ever improv play for my city's kids fest!!! If I had never discovered Shoot From The Hip I know I would have never done the play, I have bad social anxiety so preforming on a stage was something I thought I would never do, but I did it!! and I am really happy for doing it and hope to do more plays in the future.

wasnt quite sure about posting this as im not huge on the thick lineart & its my first attempt at drawing sfth but i tried to make it accurate to 1895.

angelina's clothing is a little informal, but the puffy sleeves were high fashion. i was inspired by images of women riding bikes around this period, mainly because i think while upper class she is more progressive. the hair is maybe a little historically wrong, but i was inspired by later authors like virginia woolf. shes missing a hat and the umbrella is a little wrong

john's clothing is less historically accurate. suits are hard to do (i redrew the tie so many times and im still not happy with it.) the blue isnt accurate either bcs men's suits tended to be more subdued(??) colours, but i liked luke's shades of blue too much

why am i going on about historical accuracy in a play set in 1895 with dinosaurs in it

angeljohn where the enemies to lovers is a really stretched out slowburn and john has to come to terms that at some point the desperate bid for lord roland's approval turned into a genuine want to impress and gain angel's favour. even if it's just her startled laugh from his cutting jokes, or a slipped-in compliment that has his heart racing as he tries to play it off cool. on the other hand angel realises that while her new pathetic little plaything is fun to poke at and prod, he is also actually extremely charming even when he's not trying to be, and the entertainment from bullying him his company turns into actual amusement at his words and actions, and she's slowly finding more and more excuses to be around him, and she doesn't realise just how far she's fallen until she finds herself unable to sleep, thinking about him, wanting to be around him again

I’ve been getting way too into Shoot From The Hip as of late, and I’ve been seeing people say AngelJohn (the Off-Season) are t4t, and I knew what I had to do

(Did i meticulously crop out the text from the original meme, even though it would look better and be easier to just make new speech bubbles? Yes. Do I regret it?…kinda.)
