Oh, yes. Probably on Sunday, if I don't reread it again and decide to change everything (as I've been doing for the past month). You know the myth of Sisyphus, where he has to roll a rock to the top of the mountain only for it to fall back down, and then do it again for eternity? That's me with this chapter.

I've rewritten so much of it, and still I feel like something is missing. Anyway, I'll try to post on Sunday or, in the worst case scenario, sometime next week.

Well, this ask is very interesting. The thing is, Lily has her own dilemmas to deal with – her complicated relationship with her family (especially Petunia) and with Snape (I can't even begin to describe that one...).

Yeah, we'll definitely see Lily's POV in the future. I really like making her her own person, you know? Sometimes people paint her as only Harry's mother or only James's love interest, and that's not fair. She's a person with feelings, desires, dreams and flaws like everyone else in the fic.

And also... does anyone remember that before she and James got married, they had 24 hours to themselves that they promised they'd never discuss, right? 🫢

wow, this is like, super difficult. I feel like I'm a mother having to choose between her children 😭

Okay, so first of all, I love all my fics equally (after all, I started writing them because I wanted to read specific stories with specific pairings and dynamics that I couldn't find), but I'd like to highlight 5 that surprised me in a positive way:

These Violent Delights (MCU, Sam/Bucky) = I started writing this one because I loved Sambucky since 2021 when I watched The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and then after Brave New World (the famous "i love you buddy"), the obsession came back strong like a sleeper agent, lol. I was so overwhelmed by the love I received from the fandom, and to this day I still get very sweet comments on this fic. Also, it's lighter than my usual fics, so it was really fun to write.

Disrupted Allegiances (HP, the Black Sisters) = I know I'm very late with updating this fic, but I really love the concept I created for it. Writing the wizarding wars from the Black Sisters' POV is amazing. They're such fascinating characters.

Fetters of the Damned (HP, Harry/Voldemort) = of course!! I was so sure I'd get canceled for writing a dead dove fic, but for my absolute surprise I ended up with the most amazing readers ever. Like, seriously, this fandom is so sweet and understanding. Also, I do love writing dark relationships 🤭.

Dissonance (HP, James/Sirius) = this one is so special because it's the first fic I ever posted on AO3. I was so nervous, especially because Prongsfoot is a rare pair, but I was (and still am) so angry with the horrible characterization of Sirius and the Marauders (from w*lfstar and j*gulus 'fans') I had to take matters into my own hands. Anyway, I love prongsfoot so much. And it's been such a ride, so many things have happened in this fic (and many more will happen).

Turbulence (HP, Dorcas/Marlene) = this fic so dear to me because it's my least popular fic, but I love it so much. I love the characters and the dynamics. It was also really fun to create their background and personalities because there's so little about them in canon that it gives us writers a lot of freedom to work with.

Of course, anon! And, well, I'd say that at this point everyone knows Voldemort is obsessed with Harry, but not exactly how deep that obsession goes (or the... intimate nature of it, lol). And if someone does suspect, no one is crazy enough to point it out directly.

Here's a snippet from chapter 18 of Fetters of the Damned:

He wasn’t conscious, not entirely. 

When Harry opened his eyes, he saw Sirius sitting beside him. His godfather was dressed head to toe in black leather, and he looked at Harry with mischief and affection in his eyes.

It hurt. Oh, how it hurt. 

Hope was a dangerous thing. 

Harry knew that, even before his life changed forever. Actually, no. That wasn’t true. Harry knew that because his life changed forever.

There was warmth in that scene, the kind of warmth that only existed in the eyes of those looking upon someone they loved.

Harry felt that, if he reached out, he might be able to touch his godfather. He missed him so, so much. 

The touch, the embrace. Human contact –he was starved for it. He needed it as desperately as he needed air, but he wouldn’t allow himself to have it. 

Harry denied himself both comfort and mercy, he wasn’t worthy of either.

And then he made the terrible mistake of blinking. He blinked, and Sirius was gone. In his place, Voldemort was watching him.

Red eyes, bloody and inhuman, set within a body that no longer belonged to a man. A body stripped of a soul. 

How was it possible to hate someone so completely and still wish, deep down, that they could somehow be saved? Was such a thing even possible? No, of course not.

Voldemort was beyond salvation. So was Harry. In that, at least, they matched.

How powerful are the deatheaters in dissonance (or throughout all your hp fics)? It's seems that the good guys struggle against them badly. Were they all trained??

Oh, they're very, very powerful.

You see, in my interpretation of canon and what I put into my fics, the First Wizarding War was incredibly unbalanced. There was one side that was practically winning already (Voldemort and the Death Eaters), and the other was just fighting to survive (the Order). If it hadn't been for the miraculous power of love, there's absolutely no doubt Voldemort would have won.

And because I like playing around with darker scenarios, I use that a lot in my fics, even though in most of them the Order still ends up winning. With the exception of Fetters – in that one, Voldemort not only wins, he already has won.

The Death Eater are highly trained and extremely capable, and for the most part they also have the advantage of being rich and pureblood, so they've basicaly been wrapped in dark magic since birth. But the Order find ways to train too.

I think that's why the war lasted so long and was so cruel, you know? The disparity is pretty... obvious.

For the Ebon Circle in Dissonance, is it like an illegal club? Is it exclusive to women alone, as in like only women work there for the men? And just how young can the "women" be because when they were being described it said that they were around James and Sirius' ages, maybe even younger (I would assume like 18-19?)

Well, the Ebon Circle is basically a brothel disguised as a gentlemen's club (for pureblood wizards, of course). It's not illegal, it's extremely expensive and exclusive.

At the Ebon, men go to meet, make deals/business, and have fun (in whatever way they consider 'fun'). It's a brothel because there are women there who obviously aren't pureblood, since pureblood women are considered suitable for marriage, not entertainment. And yes, they're mostly young, but there are women of all ages and types, and although I didn't describe it directly, there are men there too. Whatever is requested, the Ebon will provide.

It's definitely a very patriarchal place, and it'll become important again in future chapters of the fic 🤐

I can't remember exactly what my last ask was, but it was something along the lines of "is Regulus gay in Dissonance" or like what exactly is his sexuality? maybe asexual too??

Ohhh, that's actually funny, because Regulus' sexuality is a very important topic in the third act (he's not asexual, and he'll have a love interest).

Dissonance's third (and final) act is all about legacy and wizarding politics (and smut, of course), so... yeah... no one is safe from the marriage talk, especially in the Black family. Arcturus and Walburga never agree on anything, except that Regulus and Sirius should get married asap and have kids, and that's going to be be quite funny to watch (for us, Reggie and Sirius definitely won't enjoy any of it, lol).

Of course! Well, the schedule is looking more or less like this:

Next week, I'm planning to update Turbulence (YES, FINALLY! Why is it so difficult to finish a fic??) and Midnight Pursuit (writing Sirius/Severus is so much fun, I love these idiots).

Then, I'll update Dissonance and Fetters of the Damned. But hear me out... the chapters for both fics are enormous. And sad.

In Dissonance's next chapter, we'll finally understand why there's a 'Friends to Enemies to Lovers' tag. Things are not looking good for James and Sirius at the moment 🤐

And in Fetters, well, the aftermath of the battle is here. The Order is over, and Voldemort won. No one is having a good time 💀. But Chapter 18 is one of my favorite chapters of the fic, so I hope you'll enjoy it too! Also, it's the last chapter of the second arc, and it's a very, very important chapter for explaining Harry's change (we do have a 'Morally Grey Harry Potter' tag for a reason...).

After that, I'll focus on updating Disrupted Allegiances. This one will be my focus right after these other updates because I really want to finish this fic this year. Although it's canon compliant, it's not Cursed Child compliant -I'm giving Delphi a better ending. I miss writing my girls, and writing from Narcissa's POV is so interesting.

Oh my friends, I'm sorry for my disappearance!! A lot of things happened in my personal life (good things though! I moved to my dream city and passed a very important test I've been studying for for a long, long time), so I didn't have time to update my WIPs or post anything, really 💀

But now I'm back!! And I'm so excited, I've been working on my WIPs, so I just wanted to say hello and tell you that over the next few weeks I'll be updating all of my fics!!

Y’all — this one’s so so good. It’s so well-written and the plot is incredible. It’s 2 chapters and 30,005 words of switching POVs, sambucky chasing and finding each other in different countries, and then doing something about these feelings that keep showing up. There’s a bonus with SteveNat as a background couple (those two should’ve been together and I will die on that hill).

I’m a huge slut for fics based immediately after CATWS, and an even bigger slut for Bucky calling Sam pet names like doll, birdie, or sweetheart.

The internal battle Sam has with feeling like he should put a stop to whatever is developing between them and wanting more??? 🤌🤌🤌

The inner turmoil Bucky has between wanting Sam and knowing who he is and what his life entails and refusing to drag Sam into it??? 👩‍🍳💋
