Our Story

Hello Tumblr! My name is Clownly! I got my degree in veterinary courlogy from Howard University, and had been studying clowns for a few years. But recently I ran away to Montana to start my own clown ranch/rehab, specifically for scare clowns (but we don't discriminate). Scare clowns are some of the most misunderstood species of clown, and we're here to dispell some of those myths.

my pet clown we call her hoisin for short, yes like the sauce. she’s a rescue so anyone in the #clownhusbandry tag know what breed she might be?

She looks a lot like a scare clown, but the red, black, and white coloring are more like a harlequin. She is probably a mixed breed. If she is part harlequin, please do proper research as harlequins can be very dangerous, and can cause serious harm to humans.

I was cleaning my Klown tent and I found the first image in the toilet, ALL OF MY KLOWNS ARE MALE! DO THEY REPRODUCE ASEXUALLY? DID I BUY GAY KLOWNS?! WHATS HAPPENING?

Clowns can actually reproduce both sexually and asexually. Fun fact, clowns, like some species fungi, have genders numbering in the thousands. And to answer your question, yes, clowns can be gay.

I wish you luck with your new little bundle of joy and terror. As always make sure you have the proper facilities to handle your new baby clown. For the first few months the baby clown will be reliant on their parent for milk. They should start eating solid food like cotton candy and small insects at around 4-5 months. Baby clowns (especially scare clowns) need a little extra protein to help them grow.

I hope this advice makes your life with your new baby clown a little easier. It's always exciting to have a new clown in the family. And before you know it, they'll be fully grown
