Daisy just chuckled, shaking her head. “Nope, I’m pretty sure part of the marriage thing mean I have to never have your back again.” She teased, as if they had been together forever. She was grateful to know that she wouldn’t have to be alone at all. Everything seemed a little less overwhelming with the thought of Scarlett by her side. She returned the smile, holding eye contact for a beat too long, when they had company. Turning back to Liam, she grinned. “She’s right, nothing is better than a free bar.” Saying goodbye, she followed Scarlett towards the bar. She knew that this was only for one more night, but she hoped it was a long night. She didn’t want to have to give up the company of Scarlett. Of course, it could be more than a night, if her wife agreed to stay married to her, but she wasn’t sure still how to bring that up, without seeming controlling.
At Scarlett’s words, she felt herself flush pink. She just nodded at first, unable to string a coherent sentence together. As the champagne was handed to her, she smiled her thanks, before turning back to Scar. “Well, I suppose we do need to have a wedding night to remember, still.” She flirted back, not taking her eyes off Scarlett as she took a sip of the drink. She was clearly just getting into her role. She was playing it to the best she could. Mostly due to the fact that it was total method acting and she wanted to be able to drag the other woman off to be alone. But, they had things to do before that could happen. If that could happen. She couldn’t get ahead of herself. “We can’t leave until every person in this room sees just how stunning you look, and just how unavailable you are.” She smirked, totally cocky in the belief that she definitely had the best looking date of the night.
It was a wonder Scar hadn’t pinched herself yet to make sure she wasn’t dreaming the entire situation. But even Scarlett’s brain wasn’t this imaginative. A drunk marriage in Vegas to a beautiful woman who had agreed to keep her company at a wedding she didn’t know anyone at? It had to be reality, just because it was too unthinkable to be anything else. “Go back to where we last remember leaving off?” She thought aloud, wondering how good an idea that would be. Looked what happened to them the last time they were left to their own devices. “Maybe have a video camera with us recording the entire thing this time. It could be the wedding video!” Scarlett smirked, longing to know what had happened the previous night, how they had gotten themselves into the mess they had. A lot of things were uncertain, but the main question that plagued Scar’s mind was if she would change the events of the evening if possible. Honestly? She doubted it. She was having way too much fun by Daisy’s side.
Taking a long sip of her champagne, Scarlett made an effort not to drain the flute in one go. No, tonight she would take it slow, just so she didn’t end up making out with her wife again. Not that she was against that, but she didn’t think it was appropriate. Daisy had done Scar the favour by accompanying her tonight, but that didn’t mean she wanted anything more. She was flirting, sure, but obviously she was just playing her part. Daisy was an actress, after all. It wouldn’t take much acting for her to convince everyone, even Scarlett who knew the truth. “I’ll drink to that. Cheers!” She grinned, holding her glass up to clink against Daisy’s. “And cheers to us, too. Partners in crime. Wives.” The smile on Scarlett’s face from practically from ear to ear, but it wasn’t long before it began to shrink again. Not when the doors opened for the grand entrance of the bride and groom.
