This blog still active ???
Hey! Yes it is
What was the process of diagnosis like? I’ve been seeing a counsellor for a few months now, and I’ve even been sent to a psychiatrist. I think they think that I’m not “bad” enough or something, but I see things and hear things, have occasional delusions etc. What’s considered “enough” for a diagnosis, or treatment in the prodromal phase?
As a person that’s suffered from auditory hallucinations for many years and has tried every possible response to get them to be quiet (“surprisingly”, yelling shut up doesn’t work, but ignoring them doesn’t either), I’ve personally found that the best way to respond is essentially just to internally mockingly repeat whatever it just said. Seems to do the trick for me for whatever reason.
When someone tells you that your delusion is not real:
Me: standing outside my house hearing an ice cream truck but not seeing it
Voices: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
(hi! if I have paranoia but that's not from schizophrenia, could I still follow/ask a question? totally fine if not!)
Anyone and everyone is welcome to follow and ask questions! Feel free to PM me if you don't want your questions public too
