I do it out of spite because in grade school a kids detective story identified the culprit by saying NO American wrote their sevens with a line and I thought that was super flimsy evidence and it made me so mad I started putting a line through my sevens so the fictional detective would be wrong and then kept doing it for several decades since.

it really is crazy that if your body happens to look a certain way then its presence in any sexual capacity is automatically deemed "fetish material" and the people decrying it are convinced that they're somehow protecting your dignity. i think if you can't see someone express attraction to somebody with an amputation or who's 300lb+ or any other bodily variation without calling them a disgusting monster then that might actually speak less to your righteous dedication to the marginalized and more to your bigoted neurotic hangups about our bodies and sexual agency

Honestly it's disgusting when people assume having a physical disability means you do not want sex/do not want to be seen in a sexual light/can not have sexual thoughts.

It is always interesting if someone is obsessively attracted to conventionally attractive people it's a type but when I find my boyfriend who is a fat trans man hot people have called me a fetishist. My attraction to him isn't a sick obsession with fat or trans people, I'm fat, I'm trans, I just find him so fucking hot. I shouldn't feel shame for expressing that fact.

It's not protecting people like me by shaming people for having a "fetish" it's telling me immediately you think my body is disgusting and only sick sick freaks can find me attractive. There is nothing wrong with my body, or thinking I'm attractive.

Drawing hairy women isn't a fetish! Drawing fat people isn't a fetish! Drawing trans people without medically transitioning isn't a fetish!

Yes there is a point sure but that's the same with any attraction. As long as no one is being harmed let people love all they want

Writing tip

Just a small writing tip; you can have a character be a ‘bad person’ and a minority; but that can’t be their only defining trait. They can’t just be ‘super gay’ and also a terrible person. They can’t be an ‘obvious crossdresser’ and a bad person. They can’t be a person of colour stereotype and a bad person. You need to give them a personality;a real reason to be who they are, and also happen to be a minority. Not a mindless dick loving terrible person.

Also make sure there is a ‘good version’ of that minority or similar marginalised groups. Don’t make your only trans character the mastermind, or your only bi character a serial killer because “his attraction is sin”. He needs to realise, too late, he could have been happy. It just looks messy. Not all people in minorities are sweet angels; but you can’t be writing your media to be like “Look, all of this minority are complete asshats. Fuck you” Intentional or not that is ow it’ll feel
