     She’s already nestled against the other woman, chin hooked softly over Delphine’s shoulder. “Mnn. Your body heat’s, like, gonna put me in some weird catatonic… thing…” 

     She hasn’t slept properly in days, and being gently held like this, in the middle of the kitchen… it’s too tempting. Delphine is too warm and solid, too much like a guardian, too much like the very word protection. So Cosima slips.

     She slips and slips until her eyes are fluttering closed, and she slips and slips until her breathing feels strong and even and gentle. And before she knows it, she’s fallen.
