I don't know who my intended audience is here, so whoever needs to hear this, I am begging you to learn to participate in conversations that are about things you aren't interested in.
Part of socializing and having friends is being a good listener even when you don't actually give a shit about the subject.
Your are hurting other people's feelings when you bluntly respond with "Anyway..." and then change the topic.
It can not always be about your preferred topic.
You are being rude. Yes, even if you are neurodivergent. You can be both autistic and rude.
A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for the content of its AI search overviews. According to the court, previou
Let’s fucking go
This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
TL;DR Google reeeeeally stepped in it this time.
You know the. You know the Femme Fatale "I grew up with 10 brothers so I know how to fight" character?
That's
That's Roy Mustang
Just the opposite.
Roy "I grew up with 10 sisters so I know how to disguise covert information reconnaissance as flirting" Mustang.
"I grew up with 10 sisters so I know how to weaponize my sexual charm to disarm others and win favor."
Roy led every higher-up to believe he was just a fuckboy and a manwhore in this for his own ego and that they shouldn't view him as any kind of violent revolutionary like "no sir I'm just a slut."
Roy Mustang.
I'm surprised I didn't say this in the original post but to specify: Roy Mustang grew up in a brothel, specifically he grew up adopted by a woman running a brothel where, specifically, all the women there are in the business of covert information reconnaissance by playing escort to important politicians.
Which. is an absolutely batshit primary character backstory to mention once, late in the series, and then immediately move on from.
And actually Hiromu Arakawa did it so well that every single fan interpretation of Roy Mustang for the FMA03 anime treated him as an honest to god man-slut. Bought his whole act hook line and sinker.
And you do, in fact, need to get further into the manga/Brotherhood to realize he is just acting like a slut because surely a true and honest hand-to-god slut like this guy wouldn't be overthrowing the government.
IM KIIINDA EXCITED FOR THE LIVE ACTION SCOOBY DOO
FIRST OF ALL: SHAGGY AND DAPHNE FRIENDSHIP FUCK YES!!!! of course they were friends first!! 13 ghosts!! the scrappy and scooby show!! they were always the duo if the whole gang wasn't together <3
SECOND: FRED DESCRIBED AS STRANGE. OHHH IM HOPING IT'S THE GOOD OLD KIND OF STRANGE AND NOT SOME QUIRKY BULLSHIT BC FRED WAS A WEIRD LITTLE FREAK IN THE ORIGINAL AND IF THEY BRING THAT BACK IM GONNA LOSE MY MARBLES
THIRD: THEY ALL LOOK LIKE ACTUAL TEENAGERS!! I hope this means no weird sex shit in my scoobert like in the 2000s films. and!! the ages of the actors/actresses kinda line up with canon* ages! with shaggy and fred being the oldest (17 in cartoon, 21 for the actors) and daphne being second youngest (16 in cartoon, 19 for actress) and velma being the youngest (15 in cartoon, 18 for actress) which is a fun little detail that was probably accidental but I still like :)
fourth: shaggys got that goofy walk he does in the orignal. lanky ass
although scooby isn't a great dane he's still cute. i know live action cartoons are usually SHIT especially with netflix but maybe i can have hope just this once...

Illinois made history as the first state to outlaw book bans once and for all. Marginalizing people, ideas, or facts has no place in our state — and they have no place in a democracy. This National Library Week, we continue our commitment to free thought and free speech.
In light of the First Amendment, coming to this point is surreal.
accidentally said "invasive thoughts" instead of "intrusive thoughts" today and actually I think I'm onto something. this thought does not belong here and it is harming the local ecosystem
me to my husband: ao3 is down again [explains outage]
my husband: someone should write a spicy fic about the two database engineers locked in the server room trying to fix it
my husband, smug: there was only one spreadsheet 😎
everyone rejoice, Ao3 is back
well done everybody for being so brave about it
The note inside a bullet.
B-17 bomber is riddled with German anti-aircraft fire but miraculously survives. Later they discover the explosive shells were all inert; sabotaged by Nazi slaves working in armament factories.
Inside one empty shell is a written note: it's all we can do for you now.
The most important part of all this is that these small acts of bravery and noncompliance cannot be known as long as the enemy still stands, and might never be known. Just because it doesn’t seem like anyone is doing anything doesn’t mean it’s true. The best malicious compliance or subtle sabotage is the one that’s never detected, but makes ravages nonetheless.
A critical part of any resistance is
Do not post your crimes
Do not brag. Do not look for brownie points. Do not publicly recruit. Keep your mouth shut.
sometimes i truly genuinely cannot believe you can just read the fanfiction people post for free what do you mean i can have the experience of a lifetime laying in bed phone screen 2 inches from my face
UNGRATEFUL tech companies are saying things like "turn off your ad blocker" and "we need your photo id" instead of "thank you so much for not just pirating our shit, youre so handsome"
"Just because I'm right, doesn't mean I'm being helpful" is a vastly underrated thought process that I strongly encourage others to get comfortable with
idk what u expected, Lucy
