Niche bachelor pairings I think would be cute together

Emily & Harvey. They would be so cute and bring out the best of each other. Emily would help Harvey get more out of his shell and Harvey would support Emily whenever his more pragmatic mind would be needed. Also they could have such deep conversations since both are very mindful people. Just imagine them sharing a shelf and they'd have model planes and crystals on display!

Leah & Haley. Both are artists. Haley loves taking pictures in the forest, so they'd probably initially connect through that. Leah would hold Haley accountable for her mean girl behavior in the beginning. Haley would warm up and feel free to show Leah her real self.

Elliott & Sandy. I think the way how they carry themselves and how they speak would make them really cute together. (Elliott belongs to Shane, really, but anyway)

Shane & Krobus. NOT romantic. But as roommates? Shane is the only person who doesn't mind the Strange Bun and I feel like he could like a cool roommate. I'm sure Jas won't mind. (Nobody would be better for Shane than Elliott, but shh!)

Clint & Dwarf. I know, the dwarf isn't even a roommate option, but I really think they should be. Maybe it's a proximity thing since the dwarf is in the mines and Clint is the blacksmith. But also I think none of the other bachelors would be the perfect fit for now. Clint needs a friend first before finding his perfect partner.

Penny & Alex. I just want to be a little special here. Hear me out. They're neighbors. She's a gentle soul who would have empathy for him. He's ambitious and loyal and would push her to achieve her goals as well.

Sebastian, Abigail & Sam. In my mind they are a throuple. I know it's probably the least niche here. I could imagine them having massive drama at first because they are all in love with each other but might think they had to choose. I imagine them having a Spider-Man pointing at each other moment when they figure out they all want the same thing to be a happy polyamorous... triad? (I don't know all the terms, I'm sorry.) Anyway.

Which leaves us to... Who do I pair Maru with? I actually ship her with Penny, which isn't that niche I think. I would think she and Abigail could be cute too. Even if Abigail was in a relationship with Sebastian and Sam? 🤔 I mean... That would be messy af but... It could work maybe? Don't think about it too hard. XD

Has anyone who likes Stardew Valley checked out the mobile game Harvest Town? I used to play it before I played SDV and loved it because it reminded me of Harvest Moon which I used to play in my childhood. I feel like Harvest Town is such a niche. I like the characters a lot so far as well as some of the mechanics. Still will post mostly about SDV but I just wondered.😄

Adventures on Hardcore Farm

Sooo it's been a while, but I have lots of updates and I'm just going to dump it in here.

Rule I have for this farm: I don't buy from Pierre (or Joja), except bag space.

I'm on the Wilderness Farm

I have Krobus as a roommate

I have the bat cave which I kinda regret because I don't have a dehydrator yet and Pierre is the place to buy the blueprint from 😩

I already have the statue of perfection from Grandpa

I finished the community center and am pretty close to actual perfection in general

Sooo yeah... I have managed to grow two giant qi fruits! Like woah!

And I have not one, not two, not three, but FOUR haunted mannequins?! Let's goooo!

And I found slimes in the dangerous skull caves that had galaxy souls trapped inside 😱

There is more cool stuff but these are the most notable xD

I feel like the mannequins add to a lot of fun in my house and that's just so on brand since I have Krobus as a roommate. Who needs children if they have cursed dolls?

Anyway I might actually purchase the blueprints from Pierre because not only do I need dehydrators for the raccoon quests, I also would need to build everything if I wanted perfection. Including the dehydrator and the grass, which are purchased from Pierre. 😑

Ugh.

But anywayyy I really like how I play. Not purchasing from Pierre makes it feel like money actually means something. Sure, I still buy stuff from the traveling cart, but I rarely need it anymore. I use seed makers to produce my own seeds, I use up mixed seeds which are free. I just chill and do quests.

But if I end up purchasing from Pierre I also consider buying one or multiple bouquets and date around. I can't imagine kicking out Krobus at all, so I won't marry any of the bachelors but well...

Do you think we'd get more relationship and marriage content with 1.7? I know it will be a long time until the release anyways (and I play on mobile 😩), but that would be really cool if we could go on more dates or something. Or if we could adopt Jas if we marry Shane.

I mean we can go to the movie theater, but still. I feel like the movie theater is almost useless for it being that late game? It does make sense, but once I have done the community center I often have max hearts with my fav townies anyway? I do enjoy the cinema though. I like the dialogues.

Update on my Hardcore Farm

I didn't need to wait for long to get my mannequins on the same floor :D

The left one re-decorated my kitchen. I'm not mad about it, I like it dark. I really dig my cursed mannequins xD They are so funny and such a great addition to me already being on the wilderness farm and having Krobus as a roommate.

Next up: me attacking a serpent while falling asleep at the same time. XD the red spine unsettles me a little.

Okay woah. First the alien capsule, then this?? ~ Adventures on Hardcore Farm

I've never managed to successfully do the Qi bean quest, so I'm working hard right now.

Anyway, here's my first giant crop on this save. (I didn't keep it)

And also: I have now not one, but TWO cursed mannequins! If they both are on one screen I'll capture it! Anyway, this one likes to hang out in Krobus's room:

Things I also already have: 3 Trash Can Hats (but no Trash Catalog yet😭) and 1 pair of Leprechaun Shoes.

By the way, I managed to impress Gil and get his Hat at the Calico Desert Festival!

One thing I regret very much now is, that I haven't chosen the mushroom cave. Because on my Hardcore Farm I don't buy from Joja or from Pierre except the bag upgrades. So the only way to get a dehydrator this way would be through the Prize Machine thing or the traveling cart. I exclusively get my seeds from the traveling cart, from mixed seeds, Mystery Boxes, Sandy or through Seed Makers. So far I've managed to get every crop I've ever needed. But the Dehydrator is lacking. I might have to make an exception for that sooner or later and buy the blueprint for that.😒

Marnie and Marlon are exes (headcanon)

I know, they would be cute together, but hear me out: what if they were exes? That could be why Marlon recognizes how Marnie looks cute at the flower dance but does not ask her out!

I could imagine Marnie and Marlon having an exciting relationship years ago. But it didn't work out because Marlon is an adventurer who would always put himself in danger. There's no way he would give up adventuring for anybody. And Marnie seems to crave more stability. She has a ranch, she has animals to care for. She can't sit in her kitchen at nights, wondering if her boyfriend Marlon would make it out of the mines alive.

Seeing how she questions Shane about his plans for the future, she seems to really need someone who she doesn't need to worry about.

So I think she settled for Lewis because of that. On paper Lewis is a successful man with a job which doesn't put him at life's risk. Lewis can support himself and maybe him being secretive with their relationship is also exciting to her sometimes.

Though, yes: I do think Marnie deserves better than an on-off-relationship with a shitty mayor who can't even admit to his love for her.

But I think, Marlon probably didn't work out in the past.

Buuut... Maybe if he someday actually retires? If he actually gets too old for fighting in the mines? He doesn't look young now either, so maybe they could try again years later?

Because Lewis isn't it. 😭

I've seen Bigfoot several times too, but couldn't capture it, so believe me or not. D:

I'm also boycotting Pierre and Joja in this run so I only purchase seeds from the Travelling Cart and Sandy xD the rest is digging up mixed seeds and trying to cultivate my own seeds. I've already reached mastery. I sometimes still miss my other saves, but this one is really fun so far.
