Shane on the farm

I think I might have mentioned this a long time ago, but I drew some Shane fanart to enter in a judged open art gallery in my area. And I won third place in my category!!!

It makes me insanely happy to have my area admire Shane art.

When I submitted my art into the gallery, there was one worker there who knew instantly that it was Shane!?! And she was so sweet about it too! My sister was with me when I was dropping off my art, and so there were three of us freaking out about Shane in that office. Everyone else was looking like “who the heck are these ladies talking about? 🤨” Also the fact that the lady recognized Shane even though he isn’t in his canon outfit proves she’s just as crazy about Shane as I am. 🙈

That one worker honestly made my day and it’s a core memory for me now. 🥺💕 I hope she knows how blessed she made me feel.

I started a new save file for the new update of Stardew Valley. I just got past Shane’s 6 heart event and they added new dialogue for the day after! I thought I knew what to expect but hearing the other villagers talk abouthad my jaw on the floor! I’m glad they’re talking about it kindly but it just kinda hit me that yeah people would talk after an event like that. I’m curious who told Jodi, because she’s the only one outside their family that I’ve heard talk about it. I’m willing to bet Vincent heard it from Jas at school. Anyway, this is gut-wrenching in a whole new way and I love it (also this happened on Jas’ birthday to rub even more salt into the wound).

love how if you marry Abigail, her 14 heart event is about her having to save you from a monster and feeling some sort of quiet but life changing guilt about taking a life for the first time and she insists on burying it and if you go by the grave later you get a message about how she had to take a life to save yours and you will never forget that.

but if you marry Sebastian, he'll just be hanging out in the kitchen one morning and be like "hey, couldn't sleep last night so I went for a walk through the mines and got this for you" and hand you void essence which you can only get in the mines by going down to the 80+ levels and killing Shadow People, which are sapient people that can talk and have their own culture and customs and shit, and this is a Perfectly Normal morning you can have.
