trashyshark:
Scared wasn’t she? Of course she would be given his actions that he doesn’t expect anything else. He doesn’t expect anymore of that cheerful smile aimed towards him nor does he expect to be by the girl’s side as he once allowed her to use him as transportation in his false dolphin form. He knew long ago he would be discarded just like all the others who preferred the sweet pure honest truthful Samekichi.
Oh how he knew too well of how well treasured Samekichi was, loved by those around him through being a rough yet dishonest shark. How he carried himself solely for Wadanohara sake. A wonderful self sacrificing child! Oh how the angels praised for his greatness with how ‘gentle’ and ‘loving’ he was. Which was everything Sal could never be, and oh he knew so so well of how ‘inferior’ of heart he was to Samekichi. Even as a ‘play pretend friend’, he knew too well of the girl’s preferences to the idea of sweet joyful love! All of the joys of the world and everything the girl loved, she knew so little of the true terrors of life she lived.
"H…ha… HahahahHAHAHAHHA!"
At that thought, Sal began to laugh loudly with a crazed expression on his eyes at her words ‘please don’t hurt the sea anymore’, ‘shouldn’t say those things’, ‘friend’. She knew nothing in the end did she? Oh how much hopes he put into the girl back then, how he hoped she would understand how the Red Sea of Death was truly the most peaceful land of them all. Not that blue sea that dyed itself in true deception of love and affection.
Oh how ignorant the girl was. For the first time in his years of living in hell, he could understand the pitiful state of Samekichi of knowing Wadanohara with his feelings told but incapable to understanding either of them. After all despite how much hated Samekichi, they were one and the same. Like light and dark, they were far too much alike. "Oh Wadanohara you’re far too ignorant of others around you, it’s… quite pitiful. But it is also a part of you I absolutely adore to d e a t h.”
{ ★★ } —; To protect something she loved, to protect those she loved came with a price. Everyone knew that, even as naive as the sea witch was; Wadanohara knew Sal could snap in an instance, so carefulness was only something she needed to walk herself through. Samekichi meant everything to her, even though she hadn't understood his love confession at the time. None of that mattered, she realised, but Sal's form of jealously towards his twin unsettled her; it was her ignorance which caused this, as always she couldn't help her own feelings.
Even after all that happened, remembering the happier times was all but a lie. She'd spent much of her time, playing with Sal; not realising the entire time it'd been nothing but a fabrication, her memories taken by the shark. Because of Sal, her smile had been tainted, stolen away and locked up far away from where it could never be found again. She wouldn't smile for him, but those she truly loves; knowing where her heart belongs.
"I-It isn't funny, Sal..." The laughter continues to terrify her long after it finishes.
Expressions turned back towards her one time friend, eyes darting from the side to his form as the laughter echoes through her ears. It was all a joke to him, that much she knew; but to Wadanohara, when someone's life was at stake; when then entire ocean was being threatened, a single word could upset her for an eternity. "I don't know what you're talking about," Ignorant of others? She doesn't quite understand Sal's wording of it. "I do my best for everyone, e-even you... This is a big mistake, isn't it? Aha.." Wadanohara knew it wasn't, but continuing to tell herself that it just might be.
"Maybe everything will be okay," Now the witch is speaking to herself, needing to let these thoughts out. "You can't hurt anyone anymore.."
Oh, he takes note of how terrified the girl seemed with how her eyes stare at him without any of her usual pep she carried with her. It very much so allures the shark, perhaps the idea of being the very few people to bring out this terrorized expression is what fueled his interest at the moment. Or perhaps, he mused as he heard the soft whispers of fear. Fear of what though? He wasn’t exactly interested in causing trouble with Wadanohara now! Oh no, he preferred a slow destruction where everything around Wadanohara would fall around her without her assist- but then his smile curls up that much more at the idea of allowing Wadanohara assist in such a situation.
What better way to crush the girl’s soul by moving things along just right where even the wrong move could cause her world to shatter? But alas there was no time in such things, he had to live some what of a life. However, it didn’t mean he could do it later. Much later along the way. For now he would innocently smile at the girl, surprisingly taking a step back with a chuckle. “Must I need a purpose to talk to a 'friend' Wadanohara? You wound me!” A laugh rings the dark atmosphere from the other. Oh how much more he would love to talk about his own… dare he say it, ‘feelings’ to this girl.
"There’s nothing more that pleases me to see you well, is that such a crime? My my I wasn’t aware of this kind of thing! But… I am sure as always you will worry about… 'that'.” ‘That’ being of Samekichi, a small tint of disgust escapes that cheerful speech but none of he less he manages to keep a… civil attitude about it.
{ ★★ } —; Mind racing to that of her familiars, clearly they must be safe-- away from harm at this rate, but where were they? She missed them so, even if she'd taken on Sal alone, with the help of Samekichi. She always wished for the sea to remain the beautiful blue it was, but the thought of Sal and each thing Wadanohara fought against felt as though she'd been slapped in the face. Seeing someone she once called a friend turn out this way had been painful, much so to the fact she didn't understand why it had happened in the first place.
It was foolish of the witch to believe a meeting like this one would go calmly enough, not now she knew the truth... the truth Sal had stolen from her all those months ago. It sent a shiver up her spine like no other, the mention of a friend caused a gasp to leave her lips; "I.. I don't think we can be friends anymore, Sal.." Stating with earnest, giving a soft shrug to his words; she doesn't wish to offend, but after all Sal's lies and crimes... Wadanohara knows to be careful.
"Please don't hurt the sea anymore.."
Knowing it's a mistake to speak such words, her fear overcomes her-- but she knows she has to be strong, much like her father would want from her. "It isn't a crime, but you shouldn't say those things, Sal.." It will always frighten her, no matter how long the sea witch tries to ignore it all; his twisted form of love scares her immensely. It wasn't loving, nor was it caring as Samekichi's; it was nothing but frightening. "That?" She repeats the word, blinking and giving off a frown as she continues to process what the shark might mean. Finally it clicks, leaving the colour to drain from her face as she whispers.
"S-Samekichi?" With a clear of her throat, she quickly turns away from his twin; shuffling her feet together with each second that passes by. "He's my friend, of course I care and worry about him.." Ah, yes.. Wadanoharazoned.

A sweet smile graces his features but people knew too well of the true face behind that smile. "Why I wanted to see you," It isn’t a lie, he is feeling pleased to see the girl’s face in all of her form. That same pure untouched innocence that reminds him too much of how much he despised the blue sea. So pure that it was damnation if he dared to break it, a thought that runs through his twisted mind as he calmly held up one of her braids and that sickeningly sweet smile is on his face now.
He loves Wadanohara, he really does in true honesty, but a part of him hates her. He hated her smile yet loved how it relaxed him when he put on his mask, he hated her friends but hated how they spat at the idea of the red sea. It’s a sweet contradiction of love and hate that Sal can feel that familiar twisting in his heart. If he had one that is. But he lets go of Wadanohara’s braid in silence. “You’re in good health as always Wadanohara.”
{ ★★ } —; She's tense, staring and standing before the other-- his lies were already known, and the sea witch could only feel a sense of disappointment to know the truth. Why did Sal have to do this? Why did he have to be here? Wadanohara wished for nothing for things to go back the way they were, maybe Sal could too. "N-No.." She whispers, audible; and detached by his words. Flinching slightly upon contact, all she can give the shark is nothing but a blank stare.
"Sal, please.." Whispering, she wishes not for him to do this; but to be gentle, simply confused by his reaction. Wadanohara's feelings towards Sal are equally mixed as they are confused, he was once her friend; together they did many things, and now... it was nothing but a lie. "With the sea as beautiful as ever, I'll always be in good health," Part of the witch is frightened, but part of her wants to move past this; although she knows his actions are uncounted for. "I'm not sure what you from me..." Response meekly as ever as her braid drops to her shoulder; she wants to add more, but decides against it.
"Why hello Wadanohara.” You have about five minutes to kick him in the shin and run young one.
{ ★★ } —; "S-Sal...?" Damn, whoever thought bringing this trashy shark here should be locked up. "... why are you here?"
Something definitely feels wrong here.

After drying off and putting on different clothes and a new pair of gloves, Fenris had settled for poking and prodding around the apartment at all the technology within the household. At this point, he was sitting cross-legged on the floor and watching the news, wondering how exactly this contraption to not only move, but speak.
More than likely, it had something to do with magic. If that was the case, then Fenris would not be using this horrid ‘telebeeshun’ anytime soon.
Mages tainted everything they touched, after all. Eventually, they would all fall prey to the demons. That was part of what caused the outbreak of war in his world.
This is why the Circle existed. Mages, no matter how ‘harmless’, needed to be contained.
Interrupting his thoughts, the door to the apartment opened. In stepped a petite girl with blue clothing, and a hat the reminded him of… witches.
Standing, the elf strode over to the girl, a frown clear on his features. Even if this girl was somehow not magical… Who in their right mind would dress like a witch? It was disgusting.
"You’re… Wadanohara?" He looked back over her attire and squinted at her hat. "Are you some sort of mage?"
Mage. The world rolled off his tongue with apparent disgust. Mage.
If he were to have a mage in his family, he… He wouldn’t know what to do. He could beg the Sanctuary to have someone else take her in, or better yet, have them lock her away so that she presented no real danger to the common folk.
But Fenris was not one to beg. He was a free man now, and a dignified one at that. Perhaps he could approach them calmly, and explain his distaste…
Still, he felt some sort of pity for the girl… She was likely taken from her family, or perhaps they were dead. And now she was here, stuck with a brash young woman and a man that would likely shun her. Pity… Just that made him feel like gagging. Pity for mages? Pah!
The elf wrinkled his nose and turned his gaze back to the young sea witch, waiting for her response.
{ ★★ } --; As tiny in height, her frame stretches through the open door. Petite fingers press against the small of her back, somewhat shaking from the information she'd received moments before. Confusion remarkably present, as the young witch takes a step into her new home. Beforehand she'd never known a parental figure in her life, aside from her fathers' past familiar; even the concept was foreign to her, although wishing to try something new-- Wadanohara could only miss her home, and her most beloved sea.
Upon meeting her new father, she became painfully uncomfortable for a second on hearing him speak. Ears twitching slightly, as she listened; giving her new father the softest smile imaginable. "That's right.. I'm Wadanohara.." No time to be nervous, she's definitely dealt with worse. "... I-I guess you could say that!" With a rattle of her hand, she looks up; eyes hiding beneath the cloth of her hat.
"I'm a witch, actually! A sea witch!" Not that it would make the situation any better from what and where it was currently heading. Simply keeping as happy as she possibly could would place a damper on the situation. She wanted no bad blood between herself, and her new family-- the young witch definitely had enough of her fair share for an entire lifetime.
"I-Is it going to be a problem? I'm sorry..." Apologising first and foremost may not help the situation, although she wished for her family to be as comfortable as they possibly could. Even Wadanohara could understand the sudden disdain within his voice, much she couldn't understand. "I promise I'll never be a bother to you! If there's something I can do.... b-because you're my father now!" She manages to cut off, now staring upon the front of her feet.
"I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable..." Even to the fact where she can't face him.
Don't be afraid to start over. It's a new chance to rebuild things.
