they canceled the show and a five year old actor was receiving death threats because they showed a gay married couple on televesion. this is a completely real thing..

Yes. And the writers and producers too. They received death threats, were harassed online and via mail, etc.  One million moms and organizations like those organized boycotts and sued the company repeatedly.  It’s because of shit like that that I get angry when people keep saying that Disney are bigots. They do all they can (Frozen and BG6 are full of double messages for people that will notice) But even if they can afford getting sued and boycotted they can’t risk their personnel being bullied and harassed day and night. 

Small steps are made though. This is important.
