It has come to my attention that a lot of people like the idea of Jabber learning softness.

And after reading Kei Urana's words about how he actually smells bad, I want you to hear me out.

For various reasons, Jabber stopped caring about himself at some point of his life — early childhood, most likely — and whenever someone, or even himself, tried to take care of him, Jabber associates it with some kind of affection. But this type of affection is weakness.

Violence and pain is the only type of affection worthy and good in his opinion. Taking care of himself is soft, kind, and peaceful. Everything Jabber finds boring and irksome.

Now, imagine Zanka, after a particularly rough fight, noticing how filthy Jabber looked with all the blood and the dirt. He can still move and instead of getting away he goes to clean Jabber's face with his sleeve or something.

Jabber is mortified and Zanka's just there, fussing over hygiene and how important it is. 'Ya know that plant right ? It's good to brush yer teeth' — 'ya should at least clean the parts where you're sweating a lot.' — 'I think ya may have to do somethin' 'bout yer hair, I don't know much, but I can help I guess...'

Ain't it insane how Mr Bad Attitude suddenly keeps talking about taking care of Jabber. And Jabber can't do anything but stare at him, flabbergasted and not knowing what to do.

Hell, it doesn't even sound bad when it comes from him. . . Shit, Jabber's fucking head over heels.
