i have never had a tumblr account dedicated to my writing, but have found it helpful to find inspiration upon my return, along with communicating with fandoms more.

i am currently writing for/interested in: the pitt (robby x abbot specifically) heated rivalry (hollanov ofc) call of duty (ghost x soap)

my writing is entirely sfw, and as i am asexual, i don't see this changing any time soon.

Actually ya know what I think that during Jack and Dennis's first time, Dennis desperately wants to hold hands, but he's still kind of inexperienced and nervous when it comes to sex. And maybe he's a little embarrassed for wanting it, so he doesn't know how to ask for it.

Just keeps reaching his hands out like Jack will read his mind. He doesn't. Instead, he just thinks Dennis is reaching for him, so he'll redirect the hands to his hips or biceps or chest. Mumbling about you can feel me baby, it's ok.

Until eventually, Dennis is a blubbering mess, actual tears burning down his face. Because it feels like he's being ignored, and he hates that, hates it so much it has his chest aching. And that makes Jack stop, scrambling to figure out what's wrong. Petting the tears away and cooing at Dennis to use his words, please, sweetheart, you’re scarin' me.

And then, with a hiccuping shuddering breath, voice filled with shame, Dennis finally admits, need you to hold my hands, doesn't feel right if you don't...

Jack nearly melts at the embarrassment in Dennis's voice at such a sweet request. Chuckling as he kisses away the last of the tears, sturdy hands finally going where Dennis needs them most. Fingers intertwined and palms slotted together so Dennis can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Rabbot head-cannon — leaving notes for each other.

Okay so I was thinking, because of the nature of their shifts, Robby and Jack probably rely on text or leaving each other notes to communicate, especially when their sleep schedules are exact opposites. For things not as urgent, they probably prefer the analog way of writing things down.

For Jack, I’m picturing him writing on post-it notes and sticking them on the fridge, on their bedroom door, etc., for Robby to find when he wakes up. He probably has a stack of post-its on his night stand to write things down before he heads off for his shift.

For Robby though, he’s grabbing whatever pieces of paper he could find to scribble on, not caring what shapes or form they are in, as long as he can get the messages across. He would be putting pieces of tape on them so that he can slap these notes on random surfaces in their home for Jack to come across, a gift of pleasant surprises.

Please enjoy the notes situation I pictured in my head haha. 🫶🏼 They are so precious!!!

Unpopular opinion time but I don’t particularly care for Medschool Rabbot. I understand the appeal of the whole lifelong soulmates thing, but to me it’s so much more romantic that Jack and Robby found each other later in life.

Like these are two men in their late forties/fifties who have already survived so much grief and guilt and loss between them that it’s practically calcified into them. Their lives are already fully formed by the time they meet. Entire histories exist before Jack or Robby even enters the other's picture.

And then suddenly they meet, and it changes the entire cartography of their lives.

That’s what gets me about them. Not that they were always destined to be together or that they're bound to one another because they've known each other for decades, but because of the fact that, after the tragedy has come and gone, they still have one another to look forward to, even though they don't know it. Jack, who has every reason in the world to retreat into himself, will still allow Robby close. The fact that Robby, who carries so much grief and self-recrimination, will still let himself be softened by Jack anyway.

There’s something profoundly hopeful to me about the idea that your life can crack you open fifty different ways and love can still arrive afterwards. That desolation is not the end state of a person. That love does not become less meaningful because it came later; if anything, I think it becomes more meaningful, because they know exactly what it costs to keep living long enough to reach it.

is this anything: canon robby whose therapist tells him to get a low stakes, relaxing hobby he can do with his hands and create something new in the world, so he takes up painting. anatomy is second nature to him, after all, and he finds the motions of the brush relaxing on his eyes and hands.

he focuses on drawing nude figures and references for, again, the anatomy and the beauty of the human form, how wondrous humans are, reminding himself of the beauty of the world...but he gets bored quickly with painting people from textbooks or online references. just to see what's available, not even really entertaining the thought, he cruises some online ads for nude models.

enter jack.

jack who has the body of a greek god, is comfortable sitting entirely naked, as long as the painter has no issue with his stump. robby's red blooded bisexual heart (and loins) can't resist, although he hasn't had this kind of reaction to a purely nonsexualized human form in so long, thanks to his job and now his hobby. he appreciates jack on an aesthetic and a deeply human lustful level, and hires him.

through the long hours of painting pose after pose after pose (robby has to thoroughly capture jack's image, after all, in every position) they get to know each other. they click. they fall in love. the tension grows when they both start suggesting more and more salacious poses. the tension finally breaks one day when jack gets hard- nothing to hide it, after all. he's shameless and proud of his body, eager to show off, loving robby's obvious attention and lust.

jack would definitely ask robby to smear his whole body in paint (using his hands, of course) and thank god they put a sheet down on the floor, because they are getting down and dirty. probably some cheesy line about jack inspecting robby's nude form, too :)

robby reports back to his therapist that the new hobby is a success, put lightly.

Reasons my human has cried:

* New student, very small. Grace said it was pebble. Pebble is small Earth rock. Pebble likes name.

* He found out Eridians have no gender rules.

* Students brought him mineral sample. After he stopped crying he said he loves show-and-tell game. Human naming conventions oddly literal.

* I told him Earthsun grew bright.

* I took him up atop atmosphere bypass elevator to look at stars.

* He woke up from nap and found me still with him. I did not wait on his chest; he says I am heavy like “elephant” and he “couldn’t breathe.” I laid my arm over him instead, kept him close, feeling safe. He said “cuddle” was warm.

* Before class he heard younglings singing.

* He has plants in house from sprouts on ship. Plant grew “bud.”

* Engineers got seawater temperature right. He took off shoes and stood in water, sighing. He didn’t care about pants getting damp. Cried until shirt was also damp. Humans very endlessly wet.

* He missed “Doritos.”

* Adrian helped food scientists make taumoeba dried paste. Made it crunchy after heating. We fused it into triangle form. Told him it was Tauritos. That made him laugh-cry. Laugh-cry is rare and precious.

* He remembered Eridians have no gender rules.

* We made him celebration outfit. Used metals he calls pretty. He can see frequencies named “colorful” and “shiny.” These make humans happiest.

* I gave him hug when he wasn’t expecting it. Easier to hug close now with exosuit. Hug when Grace sitting down so he does not fall over.

* Told him to think long time, stay with me as long as he can.
