like not to be totally corny, but the independent pursuit of knowledge is in fact almost always a direct threat to those seeking to impose or consolidate undue power, which is why those institutions and individuals devoted to the pursuit of knowledge are often the first to be targeted by oppressive/repressive forces!
Money problems are part of my personality

it exists to divide the working class. All labour is skilled labour. Yes including that one. Yes, including that one too.
Do you know what's unskilled labour? Owning capital. There's no labour involved, thus requires no skill. And you can tell because people can be born into owning capital.

STILL working at my van. It's driving me insane. I'm very lucky to have mechanics that let me work with their tools and stuff but also... I want to drive my fucking car. And when I say I'm working on it. I mean I'm working on the OUTSIDE. Im broke now bc 100 things appeared to repair. I have not touched the inside yet. Where am I gonna pull all this fucking money from? I'm not crying you're crying

ive said this before but it was on my old blog so I'm saying it again
dehumanizing abusers is not effective at doing anything other than make people think they're ontologically incapable of violence
it's also creating a class of people who you can abuse while telling yourself that you're Good and Moral and Not an Abuser.
if you dehumanize the caught abusers then the uncaught abusers will use their humanity as proof of innocence
if you dehumanize the hypothetical abusers you create incentives for false accusations as a means of dehumanization whenever dehumanization is desired for other reasons
I wake up. I walk to my car. I stop, shocked. Both left doors are open and so is the back. The lights are on. Nothing was stolen. But my car was fucking open (wasting battery in light as well) the entire night? Someone broke into my car? And just...chilled out on the passanger seat??? And left the door open????? This creeps me out. How did that happen... What do I do??!
idk i would personally rather give up access to certain products seasonally or locally than have people enslaved to give me the ability to have any product any place any time. i think i can go without tomatoes in january.
i truly do think that most people if confronted with it and pressed on it would agree. but it's comfortable to gain privileges from someone else's suffering, especially if you don't have to see that suffering directly.
Consider: it is the healthiest and most normal thing in the world to go to your close friends and loved ones with problems in your friendships and relationships. Not to gossip, not to talk shit, but I go "Hey, me and (x, not related to my current partners) are on the rocks right now, can I talk it out with you?" and then you get input, advice, you get to process your feelings through conversation, then you're probably more equipped to go back to the person and go "hey I've been thinking and processing, I feel xyz."
Two major thoughts here:
Don't let anyone convince you that this type of conversation should only exist in therapy. Your friends and loved ones are there for you. Its called a support system for a reason. Getting advice and comfort is entirely different from talking shit.
If someone gets upset with you for talking about your interpersonal problems with your friends, its worth examining that dynamic. Why are they so worried other people will find out how they're treating you? This isn't like 100% always a bad thing, but like. Consider if there's other parts of the relationship that feel controlled. Consider how listened to and respected you feel, how safe you feel, how independent and free to act you feel.
